1.
The troublesome handles, the dodgy feet, the spewing of foam, the Radio Shack looks. You know what guys, none of this matters. Did anybody mention how incredibly light they are? (and what with the shedding of foam, they get lighter the older they get! RESULT!)
Is that the same as great dispersion lol
2. Have added a couple of trade options..,,

A New Ampeg

Congrats, please let us know how you get on, I am thinking of getting a 7 pro, love the Ampeg tone!
9.
Would also consider trading towards a decent cab.
You have just sold the best one on the market
10. Having owned many of the micro's on the market I have gone the full circle and am back with Markbass, little Mark 800 is a really good combination of F1 speed and Lmiii warmth and way deeper than the Shuttle 9.2 with masses of headroom
11.
Ratings are always a strange one. The Markbass amps don't hit the 500W claimed (the LM3) so that's something to consider. The Markbass may APPEAR louder because the taper on the Markbass master is one that allows most of your headroom between 0 and 1/2 o'clock...and then they clip. It's a common thing for a manufacturer to do...trick you into thinking you have another 5 or 6 notches of volume left. You don't. The Genz and TC heads let you turn ALL the way up in small increments. The Markbass LM3 DOES have a wider low end, I agree, that is the nature of that amp. It depends what you want. Ive rehearsed and gigged both the RH amps and the Markbass LM3. The RH450 sounded tighter and more defined and easier to control with the band. More mid push, better control of the EQ, etc. It was indeed louder or at least as loud as the LM3 rated 50W more. No contest with the RH750 and LM3. Yes, there is compression there. It's part of the sound...like it or not. The Genz Shuttle amps are much tighter in the lows and have a lot of complex power management which as a non-engineer, I don't need to know about. That's why I pay a company to make me an amp! Genz reacted and made the Streamliner with HUGE bass, and then everyone moaned it was too much. Both work if you use the EQ.
Lmiii vs Rh750 is an unfair fight, my Lm800 would be fairer battle with that amp
12. Have a free bump from a fellow AE212 owner, it is a cab that you may regret selling.....
13.
To be honest, it's like that with most cabs I've played it through. The lows are tight, the emphasis in on the meat of the mids which is where you get you cut in the mix It definitely DOESN'T sound nasally in mids, just present. One more thing, the DI on this amp is stunning. Like, really really good! As is the headphone amp built in.
Totally agree about the DI, it is probably the best micro head DI that I have ever used
14. Nice cab great shop, love the FRIENDLY service they deliver
15. There is a very nice looking ae212 in the for sale section... Great cab with a lovely hifi tone and very reasonable price as well
16. Dave just bought my polytune great guy to deal with, many thanks Ian
17.
I had a Staccato which I liked a lot. I sold it to buy the RH750, what a great amp. I sold it to buy my 750 watt Thunderfunk. All my bands liked the TC sound I got. Unfortunately the TF trumped the lot. I know nothing about TC cabs.
I found the staccato to be a very fussy amp, the huge low end that was baked in to it just did not suit a lot of cabs, the only cabs that I could get it to sound decent with was the ML112 or the 112mnt, any cab with a warm voicing sounded muddy and boomy with that head. RH450 I never bought but found when demo'd to be lacking any sizzle due to the baked in lpf. The concept of these amps are great I just find the execution to be a little disappointing!
18. I think it will do that quite well but don't expect any sub bass due to the high passing that is built in, nice amps.....
19. Lots if power and great features, there is an inherent graininess to the sound that cannot be dialled out no matter what you do, even with tube tone switched off. Ok if you like that but it it no clean machine!
20. The hot DI was an issue for the early Terror 500, I understand that these issues were resolved a couple of years ago and should not affect the Terror 1000 as it is more recent
21.
How you getting on with it?
Awesome piece of kit, I let my old one go, big mistake! It is like coming home
22. I know someone around North Leicester if that is of any use?
