SOLD This is in 100% immaculate condition, and will posted in the original Hofner packaging. It's is an interesting bass, originally made in the 1960's and recently rereleased. This one is in a vintage white (kind of creamy, and creamier than Fender Olympic white) with a 3 ply black pick guard. Pickups are 2 hofner humbuckers with an on-off switch, volume and tone for each one. Bridge is beefier than a standard Fender affair, but not as high mass as Badass etc. Perfectly fine for the purpose. Pics are Available here: https://drive.google...RlREcEZEcXVIMFE It feels and sounds different to Fenders, as you might expect, and the neck is wider than a Precision to my feel. More like a Rickenbacker. It's not too heavy, somewhere between my PJ bass and my beastly heavy jazz. One more thing to mention, which may seem trivial, is that th e body is nicely offset like a jazz but it stands up straight when rested against an amp/wall like a P bass does. That's a nice touch for a gigging bass, in my book at least! There are several videos and reviews online but I'm happy to answer any questions about it. They were reasonably priced when new but now seem hard to find. As this is totally immaculate I think £250 (plus postage) is a very fair price. Nearly new Gator hard case available for a further £50, see the pics. Cheers, Doug

=== Price drop to £60 === Selling an unused and totally as-new Bartolini Classic Bass Jazz bridge pickup. The product code is 9CBJD_L3. Pics are here : https://drive.google...LW5rd3NYQnhkeFE I bought this in the States for the PJ I'm selling in the basses for sale forum but it doesn't fit the bass. The exact dimensions and compatability are available on the Bart' website. https://www.bartolin...uct/9cbjd-l3s3/ Enjoy, Cheers, Doug

Selling my home brew PJ. === PRICE DROP TO £250 === It has a Fender Mexico maple Precision neck, with Hipshot ultra light tuners. The body is a Squier Precision body in Olympic white. Pickups are Seymour Duncan 1/4 pound PJ set. Nice 3ply Black-White-Black pickguard. It is set up really nice with a low action and straight neck. Also worth mentioning that it is a very light bass in terms of weight, which was one of the reasons I originally like the body as my beast of a Jazz was too heavy for long function gigs. The pics show that the body has several dings from its history as a regular gigging bass. No electronic issues. Plays great but its time for a new home. Some extra pics are here: https://drive.google...VldNa3lEbDg4cUE I'll include the hex key I use for truss rod adjustment. Price doesn't include postage which can be arranged with the buyer, at their cost. I can also sell a near-immaculate SKB moulded hard case with it for £50 if the buyer would prefer it shipped in such a case. Cheers folks, Doug.

Bought this on BC some time ago and now looking to move it to a good home. It comes with the original box, in very good condition although it has been lightly gigged. The only thing to mention is that the battery compartment door is missing and has been replaced by Gaffa tape. This was the case when I got it. It has never been a problem and juding by the reviews of these it can be considered an upgrade (!) as the battery doors are pretty flimsy ... unlike everything about the rest of the unit. Price includes mainland UK delivery. Will parcel it up nicely. Price Dropped to £80

Advice please - insurance and running a band
funkydoug replied to funkydoug's topic in General Discussion
Thanks for all your input guys. We ended up going with AMP ... like you've said it's a good deal. I bumped into one of their team at the North East guitar show a few days later and she was telling me a bit more about the AMP (the Association of Musicians and Performers) and I have to say I came away with that rare but reassuring feeling that I'd made a good decision by joining - in that these a real people, they're contactable and they 'get' musicians ... and they offer cheap insurance for members Thanks again all. -

PS - for anyone not familiar with it, this whole live album is almost equally sublime as this one track. His cover of You Got a Friend was the first dance at my Wedding. What a hero.

DH, I love you more than you'll ever know - It doesn't get any better. Amen. It does get different though... which is why I don't think in terms of who is the 'best'. We're not talking about how fast these guys could run 100m, or even how note perfect they can sing a series of notes. Singing is not athletics. Singing is vocal expression so for me no one is better than Donny, but there are people I love just as much Thanks Bubinga5, for bringing some Donny into my morning!!
