Peavey Max 450 Head for sale - Sold
funkydoug replied to funkydoug's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale

cab and head both sold. thanks guys This is an excellent small rig and packs a hell of a punch. The head does 450w at 2 ohms but with this cab kicks out 350w. This is the last head to be made in the legendary factory in Meridian Mississipi, famed for making near indestructable amps, as the new peavey heads are now made in China. Here are links to both products at the peavey site for full details: the head the cab Also, in case anyone is worried that the head is too powerful for the cab, read this from peavey on matching their heads and cabs: . There is also the DDT speaker protection for peace of mind. This is a powerful, very reliable and compact rig that will do the business in any situation and if you really need the full 450 watts its an easy job to hook up another cab... 300w from this is enough for any gig I've done in real life though (not my imaginary gigging life where I play stadiums with no PA, that is). Pics will come soon but they basically look exactly like the new ones on the peavey website etc. I bought them for a band project that never really got started so they've never been gigged and only used once or twice for rehearsals. The prices are £200 for the head, £100 for the cab. That makes £300 for the pair. Delivery will be at the buyer's expense or can arrange for local delivery / collection around Newcastle. cheers, D. SOLD them both a 4U SKB rack case? Very hard wearing, been gigged no cracks or breaks. Black pastic job with clip off front and back. Like the one in the pic but with the older blue logo. Price... £25 a 1U rackmount DOD SR series stereo EQ. Its currently in the above rack but I'll have a look and get some spec for you. Looks like the one below. price ... £25 You guessed it £50 for the pair! all postage to be covered by the buyer. both the case and the EQ are in good working condition and will be a handy addition to someone's rig / PA. cheers, Doog.
I'm thinking of picking up a MAG 300 Evo II head, as a cheap/backup head for smaller venues and gigs where i'll have to lend gear out.
sorry for the shameless plug - I'm selling a Mag300 head in the amps 'n' cabs forum. £100 plus postage. Just been serviced. Done loads of gigs and still doing the biz - selling to finance a recording project.

This is half of my old rig, now got to go to make way for other stuff... PICS COMING SOON HEAD AND CAB BOTH SOLD NOW! The head. Ashdown MAG 300. google it for the specs, but its basically a 300w solid state head with usual ashdown tone and EQ features. the 300w is at 4ohms. Done plenty of gigs but has been well looked after and looks great, just recently had a full service and MOT from a great local tech. Carpet covered and all the nobs / dials. ins and outs work perfectly. £100 plus postage. The Cab. THE CAB IS NOW SOLD This is a Trace 1x15 from the good old days. Its the more compact cab, similar in size ot the current 1518C. It has currently got an Eminence Delta 15 in there, 300w @ 8ohms. No horn, tweetr etc. There are 2 porting holes in the front. Now I have to be honest this thing has done many hundreds of gigs and looks like a scarred but surviving veteran of a particuarly violent war!! It works GREAT and all the ins and outs are fine. However; the tolex covering is coming off here and there, the Porting tubes are no longer with us, the Trace grill has also departed and has been replaced by a disc shaped metal speaker protector. Basically if you want a cab that does the business (same old Trace indestructability and acoustic design, great Eminence speaker) but you're not bothered what it looks like then this is for you. £50 plus postage. No offers on either of these please as they're both priced fairly - I'm not trying to rip anyone off! Both are in North Tyneside and I am happy for local collection, can talk about a local delivery or any postage costs will be yours. I'm not going to do returns on these items as they are accurately described (pics to follow) and the postage costs would get silly. cheers PICS

great to hear so many locals who know their stuff!! Like I say its in a shop hanging up right now because to be honest I wasn't expecting so much interest. I can go and get it and take a few pics but it'll be later in the week. Its a corker and the neck (as a few people mentioned) is a thing to behold! ask away if you've any questions. for the guy who used to own it - I feel like we share a special bond... ha ha. Its still as good as you remember so get your wallet out brother! In case anyone is interested in trades. the only thing I'd want to part exchange on is a really good compressor. Pedal or desktop format not rack and only good stuff (EBS, Monte Allums, maybe BBE opto). Cheers.

Now back on sale as previous sale didn't work out. This is a great handmade bass my a guy called Jim Cairns up here in the north east. I have a couple of his basses and they're fantastic- all very well made with top woods and electrics. This has Bartolini mm style pickup, its active, it has a Screwjack bridge. the body colour is vintage white, pick guard is 3 ply black, the neck is a GORGEOUS birds eye maple job with a rosewood fretboard and is is a thing of beauty! Its recently had a new scratch plate, new nobs 'n pots and wee set up courtesy of my fiendly local guitar tech Alan Brason (PM me for his details if you want any work doing in tyneside - great bloke, great at his job and really fair prices). Its probably about 15-20 years old ( I've had it for about 8 years) and has a few dings (see pics) but it plays and sounds great and looks the part. It comes in bomb proof flight case as in the pics which is a great case in its own right! Price is £300 includeing the case. delivery will be at the buyer's expense. Cheers, D. funkydoug replied to Bassassin's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
this is jap... but it ain't crap!! my Tokai Jazz for sale in the basses section, and on ebay sorry for the shameless plug! D -
This is a Mag 300 head by Ashdown, you know the one. Its in good cosmetic condition - still looks good - but the input gain is very loose and needs replaced (you have to kind of play with it to get it to work) and the Treble pot just needs a new plastic knob. I still use it occasionally as a practice amp and it works, but its really surplus to my requirements so it has got to. I'm open to offers that will cover postage and whatever you think is a fair price. try me! some pics:
