  1. I had one of these, absolute tone machines, the only bass I ever owned that after a gig, guaranteed someone always came up and asked how I got the amazing tone, I just ran it clean into a Phil Jones M300 and Barefaced 2x12 cab. GLWTS
  2. I have one of these, was concerned it wouldn't be loud enough, I was wrong, it destroys my Genz Benz shuttle 9.0, class D-900watt. It's become my favourite all-time amp, sounds amazing and fantastic quality DI. I'm amazed this is still here, GLWTS 👍
  3. Handbox WB100 through a Barefaced 2x12 Cab OK I've now gigged this at a few different sized venues, I absolutely love this amp, I play it mostly clean, so the volume is cranked right up, and I use the gain control to control the level as advised on here, I was concerned that 120w may not be loud enough on stage, as I play in quite a loud band, I've got to say I don't think I've ever had the volume above 10 o'clock on the gain, the sound of the amp itself is lovely, and have had nothing but compliments on my tone, playing my Japanese Sadowski Metro Express through it. It just sounds great with the EQ just set at 12 o'clock, and adjusting my tone using my bass pre amp. I am a big fan of this amp, and it's now my go-to amp, I always carry a back-up as it's a tube amp, and they can get damaged easily, but I don't let roadies near it, until it's cooled down it doesn't get moved, and I do the moving. Touch wood, I've had no problems so far... Verdict = Fantastic amp, I'm a massive fan 🙂
  4. Thanks for the advice, it's appreciated, all my cabs are 4ohm and my main gigging is a Barefaced 1400 watt 2x12, so I don't ever need more than that onstage, there's a two-page instruction manual on the Handbox web page, but it doesn't tell you much, is there anything else available anywhere on the web, I've seen the few videos on YouTube, I'm just wondering if there's a proper manual anywhere? Or can anyone send me a copy of the manual if you have it? Cheers, Ste
  5. Hello, Just bought this from Roy on here, thought I'd join this thread, loving it so far, not gigged it live yet, but will do at my bands next gig, just thought I'd say hello and stick a pic up 👍
  6. Bought a Handbox WB100 amp from Roy, kept me updated with what was happening, and once I said I wanted it, he kept hold of it for me for about a month, until a friend could pick it up for me, it moved through various mates across the country, until it was delivered about three weeks later to me. Lovely friendly guy to deal with, the amp was in great condition and as described, sounds amazing. Don't hesitate to deal with Roy, no problems whatsoever and kept me informed of what was happening, when it happened. Top bloke, happily buy from him again, five stars 👍
  7. I'm really getting interested in this, its just the distance I'm struggling with, I'm based in Wigan, anyway we could work something out, maybe meet up etc? I'm away tomorrow, playing a festival until Tuesday, so may not be able to talk until then 👍 Could you PM me your number and have a chat later in the week maybe, I've a few questions about it I'd like to ask?
  8. What's the wattage on these?

What's your band? I'm playing on Sunday (Genius the Fool)

  13. Will do, think we've played with them before, we are on main stage 5pm Saturday
  14. McHale's Permanent Brew at the Waterloo Music Bar in Blackpool, this is taken from our album launch gig, this is the first track of the night which is always a bit of a jam session as we warm up a bit, and is normally just a musical track only.
  15. Next gig for me and McHale's Permanent Brew,
  16. Here's my Fender Jazz Bass, it's a 65 body with original pots, pickups, and bridge, pick guard is a new one, same spec as the original one. It has a 69 neck on it with original 69 tuners, the truss rod was knackered, so had to have a new two-way one installed by luthier Bryan Eastwood and his son from Bacup, near Manchester, its been stripped back to bare wood at some point. It sounds amazing and plays really nicely, one of the guys from Bass brothers in Leamington Spar had a quick go, when he picked another bass up from me, and said it played great, and the neck was exceptional.
  17. Wife's 60th birthday in a couple of week, help me stay married, final reduction, giving it away price £1000
  18. Fantastic basses, I have one, probably the best Jazz bass I've ever played and really light GLWTS
