1. Just done a trade + dosh with Andy, nice guy no hassle and item exactly as described. No problems at all, highly recommend any transactions with him. Cheers man really enjoying the fretless!
2. Feedback has been left here, http://basschat.co.uk/topic/202528-feedback-for-stephen-houghton/page__p__2796488__hl__stephen%20houghton__fromsearch__1#entry2796488
3. Don't literally mean Lou Reed sound, but that laid back stoner type of vibe if you know what I mean?
4. Looks great, very nice job!
5. My Soul? Would love to own this its a really nice guitar, got a EB Stingray 5 great condition, unfortunately I have nothing else :-( Except the above!
6. Hopefully this will be mine on Thursday, the guy is popping around for me to try. Cant get better than that can you, nice guy!
7. Really like it, has a retro rock vibe but really cool, took me back. Nice one
8. Recorded this using the Warm Audio Tone Beast, all guitars and bass plus vocals through the Tone Beast, love this preamp. Tried to get a Lou Reed vibe to it, let me know what you think, feedback really appreciated, good or bad. Cheers https://soundcloud.c...spect/mean-girl
9. Went for £1321, oh yea of little faith :-)
10. RIP great bass player and great song writer, sadly missed http://classicrock.t...2-march-16-2015
11. Great blues improvisation, love it!
12. Check out the 'Turner' guitar range, really great quality for price, top woods. Read the reviews, little heard of but highly recommended. I have a Turner 82CE that retails for £699 but it wipes the floor with any 2 grand Taylor I have ever played, stunning sound and really nice to play. Their cheaper range is awesome, mostly solid wood with quality Fishman pre's. There is a shop in Blackpool selling the 82CE for £499 new with hard case, absolute gift, would have to spend £1500 for same quality.
13. Great playing don't knock yourself that is a killer riff, love that track and from one of the best bass players of the time IMHO Excellent, tell your guitarist to do one!
14.
Man, with that sort of quality at 48k - I'm confident you'll love working at 88.2 ( it's like lifting a blanket off your monitors...) Again, great song and mix... please keep 'attempting' those vocals so I can hear more of your work.
Will try that on the next thing I do and see what it turns out like, thanks for the feedback!
15.
That's a lovely three dimensional sound from the mic/pre combination - do you record using 88.2 or 96k by any chance?
I am recording at 48k I think, I am no expert at this recording lark I am just learning. Thanks for feedback, just getting brave enough to attempt vocals
16.
Lovely! Would love some more info on the signal chains. How much gain does the TB12 have on tap? I'm a big ribbon mic fan, and generally like pushing gain on mics for a tiny bit more response anyway.
Here's a link to the specs as I am no expert but it says it has 71db of gain. You seem to be able to really push it as its designed for that. Hope this helps thanks for feedback Also DI ing Bass and Guitar straight in is awesome, you can get so many different sounds.
