Just bought the Warm Audio Tone Beast TB12 pre, used it on this track, vocals, guitars and bass all recorded using a modded Rode NT2 (available from a guy on eBay for £49 massive improvement in mic quality) through the TB12. Referring to the video above 'Where would we be without drugs' I mean why else would you think ' I know, why don't we ................. , some of the best music ever was created under the influence, actually thinking about it most of the best music ever. Here's a good example of the before and after effect of a treated room, if you think about it what you hear as you mix, may not actually be what's going on in the mix itself, when played back through normal speakers in a different place it may sound totally different. If your room has bass problems, you may think the bass level is correct in a mix when it really is way out. Cheers for feedback, No problem Skol just asking for advice in case anyone is well up on these things. In order to use it on the final mix the simple way is to place the FMR between the monitor outs and the speakers then once happy with the mix, unplug from monitors and put into a channel on audio interface to record it. You can also route it in a similar way with mix control I have been told but need to get my head around this one though.

Very nicely done and great video, what's not to like If I had to be picky and give some constructive criticism I would say the lead guitar is a tad high in the mix in the loud solo bits, but great all the same.

The Tokyo Dawn Records stuff is awesome and there's a free version of most stuff, really good gear. They do a slick EQ as well that is great, its on the home page at the bottom, really nice and smooth EQ.
