3.
Just finished mine for this month… https://soundcloud.c...b/make-it-right I've been listening to a lot of old Bristolian trip hop recently - Massive Attack and Portishead in particular - which I think has leaked into my musical subconscious Was hoping to persuade Mrs Skol to sing the vocal on it, but she's crazy busy with work (stressed teacher) hence I ended up doing it myself this evening. A few bum notes but heh, who's counting. Cheers all! And thanks to Bob for picking a cracking picture - it's sparked a lot of different ideas by the sound of things.
Very cool track I would buy this Skol, great vocal and lyrics and great vibe. Stunning track love it!
Well, in this case, I'd call it artistic licence mate Think of yourself as a messenger delivering timeless truths that have been handed down for generations. The whole notion of fear as a suffocating blanket was floating around my mind when I was trying to get some inspiration this month, but I just couldn't get going with it. I had a working title, "The sea of lost souls" - which was kind of coming from the same idea, I just didn't know how to convey it musically. I was stuck on trying to convey it too conventionally, as a song with words, but I was making myself laugh with how corny it was coming out To do it in a more narrative style as you have really works, so hats off
Thanks Bobby and I love the messenger delivering timeless truths line Cheers!
 4.
Hello chaps! I was terrified that my pic would end up being really uninspiring, but how wrong I was! Some excellent work so far, loved listening to them. Some excellent interpretations of the pic. Love the eastern vibe from Garry's, but Stephen Houghton - genius! Two hours work?? Incredible result mate! Typically wishing I'd had a go too now, but it's been a bit of a mad month for me and when I did have some time, I just couldn't get going with it - hopefully have a go next month.
Gotta say the words I am using arent mine they are famous quotes about fear, I wish I had come up with them but I am not that clever, just realised I hadnt mentioned this in my earlier post and dont want to mislead anyone into thinking they are my creations, I wish.

 12. Nice one Bobby K, sorry i didnt congratulate you earlier but my modem blew up and i couldnt get online until i had a new one delivered today. Great track and deserved the votes! I agree with Skol on the voting comments and you have to remember 13guitars were pushing it on the web as well as all over facebook, which is a good thing as it creates new members. Publicity was the point of the excercise for them I suppose and thats fair enough with the amazing prize offered. I had never heard of them but check them out on a regular basis now and have told many more about them so it works. Congrats and all that Bobby

 14. Great entries this month all are up there and a hard one to pick from, loved quite a few, some of the bass work was amazing and the quality of mixing and general knock togetherness was amazing as well, well done to everyone Voted for Steve in the end as I really liked it and it fitted the pic very well, luved the manc vocal, we need to hear more! Father christmas has brought me a Line 6 Pod X3 Pro so I will be getting my head around that over the coming months and trying to record with it, so hopefully will finally have some decent sounds for bass and guitar. Happy New Year all and keep em coming, thanks to Charic for organising this every month.
