OK this is a bit more of a 'sentimental Christmas journey' than a dirty old Santa collapsing in an alleyway, though it gets a bit groovy in the middle and Vic lays down the bass vibes... in a spoken word type way - I'll let you guys decide if it works or not http://soundcloud.co...music-featuring Good to everyone this month - and Happy Christmas and here's to a bass-heavy new year M
Wow!
Finally got mine to a reasonable state. There's some pretty sloppy playing which I'd redo with more time, but here it is, warts 'n' all http://soundcloud.co...y/broken-future good luck with the comp this month, oh, and merry xmas
Yeah nice one, love it, my favourite so far!

Added some more lyrics to my entry was bored last night so couldnt stop messing with it

Go for it Charic its not as though most of us can sing or think we can, I sometimes play in a band called 'the band with no shame', you can guess the rest
I live down the road from you in Atherton so there is probably a bit of shared regional sense of humour in there! I wouldn't have toned down the lyrics at all. I wrote some truly shockers in one of the bands i was in, Band of Gold. You can check em out here if you can be arsed. http://uk.myspace.com/bandofgold08 They were meant to be wrong rather than actual points of view.
I thought I could be taken offensively but you lot take it to a new height, love em especially Tourettes Timmy Brilliant!
Ha ha ha! f***in Genius! Love it! It should win. you definitely have your own style. Which is excellent. Quality! My missus love's it too and the last one.
Thanks for the compliment me thinks we have a similar sense of humour Its my J.C.Clarke tribute, now he is a genius! Like adding silly stuff to the pics never really done anything this style before, but i am enjoying it, to be honest i have had to tone down the lyrics, i have realised i have a naturally offensive to some, sense of humour. I suppose you get it or you get offended
-
Under 5 mins or 6 mins i think?
-
Here's my entry, if easily offended dont listen. Not had any time to do anything so knocked this out for a laugh this afternoon, think it fits the picture well, hope you get the humour! Bah Humbug! Here it is, I Quit! http://soundcloud.com/9thaspect/i-quit-bass-chat-competition-2 Added some drums, forgot them doh! on first version! Also added a few more lyrics if you have listened already check it out again, its now finished.

Ive got a version of Abletone live 8.1.1 going if you want it Space Chick, email me your address and i will send you one if you like. I use it and its fine and has drum loops and other stuff with it. You would just need a cheap Audio Interface (about £40) and you have your recording studio setup. You can the record bass straight into your computer.
Why not? Each note could represent one of the children he abused, could be a nice tribute.
That would be one long necked bass! -

Your track was well produced, was linked to the pics and was a catchy number with some good lyrics, sometimes simpler is better, too many ingredients often spoil the broth. Chuffed for you, genuinely, can feel the buzz of you from here and im in Wigan. Gonna have abeer myself now and watch later with jules Cheers and well done! -
IIRC according to the competition rules there shouldn't be any material like samples that requires additional copyright clearance in the compositions in the first place. Whether you aim to make money from your works or not does not make any difference regarding the use of material to which you don't own the copyright, or have a licence to use.
I have no idea thats if there is or isnt anything that falls under these rules thats why i am asking as far as i am aware there arent but what i am saying is people need to be certain. -

November Composition Competition - Voting Time!
A CD with the winner would be fine, but I would be happier to be able to also refer back to the other tracks taking part in the comp, as there can be only one winner but all of the tracks are of a very high standard, and it would be a shame, in my view, for us listeners to forget about them.
I suppose the legality of samples used and sound bites may need to be considered, some tracks may be open to legal action and I for one am not well up on the laws regarding these things for public use or sale. Dont have a problem myself with the idea, but wouldnt want to get into any legal problems. Someone in the know would need to check things and OK them I suppose. Otherwise we could hit problems. -

If people dont play the track all the way through or at least half way it wont get counted on souncloud, they should, but most wont if they dont like the vibe within a short while they will just move to next one. So far I have 27 votes and 77 listens all the way through, could of had loads more listens but they thought it was cr.p, which is a fair enough. Skol has had loads which is amazing, well deserves his position .so far. -
