    I have asked the original thread that Funkinshui posted with the details about this fraud be put on hold as we wouldnt want any details that have been mentioned interfere with any trial results. So please dont ask for details as the safest thing to do at this moment would be to not mention any, there is a basic explanation at the begining of this thread, the person involved as scammed many others as well as us, it is going through the legal proceedings at the moment and as soon as we can tell you anything we will do, at the end of any case we will give you all the details we can. Thank you for any donations so far and we are nearly halfway to recovering what Funkishui lost, when his bass was stolen. Cheers everyone, you guys and girls are amazing

    No the court wont award any money if he gets a sentence which he will do, also he is classed as unemployed so the only thing we can do is take a private prosecution out against him and he will be ordered to pay compensation at a pound a week or something for the next however many years, but that will cost us to do. But he is still paying for the scams he did in 2017, so the amount he would be asked to pay would be miniscule. And it isnt guaranteed he would be made to pay anything to us. Cheers Steve

    I have been in the past and will be again once I have the funds, its an awesome bass community, has some amazing lessons and they are downloadable. Great interviews with many top bass players, q and a sessions and lots more, whats not to like 🙂

    Hi I answer to your post, this is all happening now so we havent been to court yet, but we will be doing, the CID and Fraud Squad are on it and we should get a great outcome at the end of this. The scammer involved has done loads of people for thousands of pounds but is a bit thick, so it was easy for us to find out who he really was and his big mistake was meeting me face to face to sell the bass, I can connect him directly to it. Cheers everyone this is working well and myself and Funkshui cant believe how cool everyone is being about this and helping us out, really appreciate every single donation to the cause.     Thanks to everyone who has been kind enough to donate to this crowd funding page, its a long story but myself and Funkshui have been done over by a prolific scammer. I ended up buying Funkshui's stolen bass from the scammer without any knowledge it had been stolen. All details of what we and other Basschat members have suggested are on the original posts and on the Crowdfunding page, if anyone would like to make a donation towards getting Funkshui's money back it would be appreciated. Basschat members suggested we create a page to cover Funkshui's losses and in turn this would allow me to keep the bass or sell it on as I was planning to do as I discovered me and 5 strings dont get on well. Originally Funkshui the legend that he is , suggested we sell the bass and we take the hit between us, but this seemed the way forward when suggested by other members.     Acoustic wise check out Faith acoustics, I have a top of the range Taylor and its lovely, but I also have a Faith Saturn and that is as well and there isnt over £1500 difference in sound or feel. Worth a look they do some lovely guitars and are all solid woods.

    Me too Karl, its a great bass, I just bought a 5 string Fender Deluxe Jazz (with the added lights on the fretboard) and need to put some funds back in the pot. I am not letting it go for any less than this as its a fair price anyway, if it doesnt go soon I will take it down for a bit and put it up again later. Nothing really seems to be moving for decent money at the moment
