    Strymon Zuma for sale. Excellent and versatile power supply that can power any 9v, 12v or 18v DC pedal (7x 9v outputs, 2x selectable 9/12/18v). There are marks on unit from use and pedalboard mounting (see photos), but this is in perfect working order - all marks are purely cosmetic.     For sale is this custom length 3.375 inch (85.725mm) under saddle Fishman Acoustic Matrix Series pickup. This was a custom order direct from Fishman to fit a specific bass - turned out to be the wrong size and a replacement was sent to me, but I have this extra piezo pickup left over. Requires a preamp to work properly, but is a very high quality piezo transducer pickup. It is the 'wide' style Matrix pickup, not the narrow style - it is 3.2mm wide and 85.725mm long. They cost upwards of £120+ new, as they're a custom order. Looking for £40 posted in the UK, but open to offers. Any questions, just ask. Thanks for looking.

    Right, here goes... For sale is my Rob Allen MB-2 five string fretless. It's slightly unusual for a 5-string MB-2, as it's a 34" scale not the usual 35". I bought this second hand in 2017/18, but it was made in 2009 by Rob Allen (this was confirmed by Rob himself via email when I bought it). Apparently it originally went to Italy and eventually made it's way to the UK. It has a chamered swamp ash body, figured maple neck, ebony fingerboard and a beautiful koa top. Tort celluloid binding (repaired last year, as it had shrunk a bit over the years - see photos for slight gap in body binding from repair), ebony bridge with a Fishman matrix pickup and preamp and Hipshot tuners (with a drop tuner on the low string). Currently set up and strung E-C with LaBella black nylon strings. Please note that the tone pot has been disconnected - this component failed a while ago and I had my repair man wire it out of the circuit, as I always used it fully open anyway. It sounds exactly the same as it did with the pot wired it and I am assured that, although slightly unsual, that type of pot is widely available and can be replaced easily anyway. There are some normal sings of use on the bass, as I have used it a hell of a lot, but it is in excellent condition. I'm looking for around £2900 with collection or meet up ideally, as I don't have a hard case for this (I have a Protec Contego case that it came in when I bought it). I'm based in Birmingham/Smethwick. Any questions, just let me know. Potentially interested in trades with some cash my way for other fretless four or five strings (nothing 35" scale please), but the sale is king. May be tempted by something like a Godin A5 Ultra, Ibanez Gary Willis or something... Just ask away. Happy to add any extra photos or anything if anyone wants to see anything in more detail.     Xotic Bass BB Preamp v1.5 for sale. I did list this a while ago, but wasn't sure if it was possible to unlock an old post... Either way, here it is again with new photos. Slightly updated version of the classic Bass BB preamp - works brilliantly as an overdrive, as a clean boost or just as a simple preamp. In mint condition with original box. Has supplied rubber feet fitted and has never been mounted to a board. Looking for £100 and can ship in the UK for £5. Cheers!

    So I have managed to temporarily solve the problem with some shielding tape and kitchen foil wrapped around the damaged/corroded area of the pickup... Bit Heath Robinson, but it works! Did hear back from Rob Allen as well, who are going to source a new pickup for me. Cheers!

    Oh I missed that on his website... Only issue I have is that my MB-2 is a 5-string. The Fishman Matrix on Thomann is definitely the right width (3.2mm), but it's the length I'm not sure about. The cavity length on my bass is about 86mm long, but there doesn't seem to be a measurement for the Fishman pickup lengths anywhere - just width...

    Hi Guys, The piezo pickup on my 2009 Rob Allen MB-2 has developed a ground/shield hum issue. Looked at the piezo transudcer itself and the silver coating has started to corrode and peel back, which is most likely the culprit of the problem (everything else has been checked). Does anyone know what model the original or updated Fishman replacement is? Is it a Fishman Matrix like this (https://www.thomann.co.uk/fishman_acoustic_matrix_serie.htm)? I have emailed Rob Allen (and Bass Direct, who have also emailed Rob), but haven't had a reply yet. Just thought I'd ask on here in case anyone has the answer straight away. Many thanks!

    A few very boring, but useful things for sale. All in full working order. The Loop Master boxes (the silver ones) have i/o markings written on by me in very subtle marker, which will come off. I found this to be useful, as they have no markings otherwise... All three work passively - power is just for the LEDs. Plectrum in photo for scale.     @PaulThePlug Just to say thanks again - went to replace the jack this morning and noticed the serrated washer had started to eat through the foil, which was definitely causing the intermittent issue. Added the extra ground without changing the socket and that fixed the issue. Who knew! Thanks for your help!

    @PaulThePlug Cheers mate - that's really helpful! Is there any danger of creating a ground loop if I add an extra earth link to one of the pots? Presuming not, as it's a completely passive circuit, but just curious.

    Hi All, I was going to replace the output jack on my Moollon P-Classic due to an intermittent issue (wear and tear), but noticed there was only one wire connection to the socket with no ground directly from the jack socket itself (see photo). The bass has no ground issues at all, so I'm presuming that the ground is supplied by the metal tape stuck to the underside of the pickguard or something, which you can see in the pic. Can someone who knows more than me confirm that I don't need to add an extra ground connection when replacing the socket? Presuming it's fine, as this is how it was wired direct from Moollon, but I am an extremely amateur electronics person who just happens to be decent at soldering... Many thanks in advance!
