I have spoken briefly with someone about these earplug today and they have told me that they are phasing out the ER15's and are moving to the PRO series, as a result they have recommended the PRO17. Does anyone have any experience with these or has anyone spoken to ACS directly with regards to these recently? Many thanks or any assistant on this.

Bought a case from Peter just before Christmas. Communication was brilliant throughout and the transaction was painless. Gear was in great condition as described and I would be happy to deal with him again.

The Sharrow need a new drummer - Sheffield/Chesterfield
gingerfish posted a topic in Other Musicians
Hello all, we are in the unfortunate position that we have had to part ways with our original drummer due to family commitments and as a result are scouting out some new talent. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic drummer to join a band of mid 20's metal heads. Double bass drum pedal will be prefered but is not critical. We have a new set that we are itching to get out on the road and play so please, if you are interested then please get in touch with thesharrow @ gmail.com. We all really look forward to hearing from you. -
Thom has just purchased a bass of off me. Very nice guy to talk to, communication was great and he turned up when agreed, no messing anyone about. Would happy do a deal with him again in the future.

After much deliberation, this bass just isn't doing enough for me compared to my Warwick and it isn't getting played any where near as much. As a result the bass is being offered up to you lovely folk. I have had the bass since June I believe and it has been owned by at least one other Basschatter. It is in very good condition, a small chip on the tip of the headstock and a slight bit of buckle rash (only very very slight) on the rear. Front of the body is immaculate as is the neck. Bass will come with a non MM hardcase or a gig bag if preferred (got to check it fits in first). Currently strung with a set of Warwick EMP but they are about 2 months old. I am looking for offers of £900 collected from Sheffield, people are welcome to come and try the bass if they are in the area. The first decent bass I ever got to buy was a 5 string FNA Jazman. Its still pretty much my favourite bass. I can play the it thorugh my amp with the EQ turned off and it still sounds beautiful. I had BO Thumb 4 for a little while and now a 5 for a year and they are beautiful to play but I just find the sound lacks some punch that the 'vette gives. I've had a Buzzard BO and a Vampyre SN over the last couple of years and the only reason I got rid of them because I much prefer 5 string basses and they were 4 stringers. Not yet played a Warwick that I didn't like or find easy to play. Second hand market seems to be flooded with them. Some of the for sale threads are dropping by a third from their inital asking prices. Its madness I tell thee, madness.
There's not a snowflake's chance in Hell of me ever owning one, but this is about the only thing I really want these days. Have to say IMHO my Shuker JJ Burnel is pretty damn cool.
Is that a stock bass or is it modified? Cause I want one. Now. Pleeeeeease.

Ok, I love my Thumb but I am increasingly favouring my Corvette so I am interestd to see what people have to offer in trades. I will get some pictures up on request, but come on, you've all see a Thumb before. The ball park will include 5 strings only, I went through a few of 4s and they just don't fit right in my hands. I would be interested in trying a fretless. Ideally I will stick with Warwick but I am open to some P basses or stingrays/bongo. Jazz neck is a little thin for me. Bass is in very good condition, some very slight drying of the wood on the backside has caused some opening of the grain, the neck is smooth as they come though. I will try and wax her up and see if it helps, otherwise some fine sand paper and a good waxing will fix this. Ok, would also consider selling and in my head I'd like to think this is worth £800. THIS HAS NOW BEEN TRADED.

I have both still but if I ever have the choice of which I can play I use the ABM. It just has that extra depth and warmth to the sound. Playing a 5 string bass its nice to get some punch and growl out of the low notes too. I might not be the overall best person to ask though cause I think my MAG head is also on the way out. It has developed some crackling. But over all. ABM is definately worth it, and if I can afford a full valve Ashdown anytime soon I will probably look at that.
