1. Yup - I think for total authenticity it needs to be kicked down the road and have a preamp stuck in the back. That and a time machine to the mid seventies
2. Guitar centre Limited Edition in Ivory White! Best Stingray colour...
3. Yup. The low mids and bottom end on these basses is just fabulous. And the neck profile/ string spacing makes them so playable. Owning and playing a GWB1 made me totally switch off from 35inch scale. The low B is knockout.
4. These basses are utterly legendary. Works of art IMHO.
5. USA JO4 or DJ4 trade with cash on top sought...
6. US Lakland Jo Osborn trade sought Beerrrmp
7. Sunday is a good day for a really fine red jazz bass. This is a spectacular instrument and honestly top rank in the tone and playability stakes - I just can't justify keeping it at the moment.
8. Ah, I love the smell of eighties graphite in the morning! As a schoolboy I used to head to Wapping on a Saturday and do the rounds of Wal -> Warwick - > JD -> Status through the Trace stacks and would always slip in a go on a Vigier. Really unique and beautifully crafted basses.
9. Something for the weekend? Friday bump for this lovely Road Worn J...
10. Cheers - the bass chose the songs. It has a preference for Bernard Edwards and Jaco Pastorius
11. Bump for my RW jazz bass on a hot Tuesday...feel the quality AND the price drop to 650 quid!
12. Had my 'Ray up then made a different plan! Should have waited til it dropped off the front page...I'll get my coat...
13. Sunday shopping bump with a youtube vid of this road worn jazz bass. It's a really nice jazz bass to play, and I've played a few...sounds punchy and full with bonkers sustain...it's great https://www.youtube....eature=youtu.be
14. And a bump for my RW J... Buy mine AND Richard's and choose them for the gig according to mood or trouser colour...
15. Much like London buses, Fender Road Worns can't be found for love nor money then three turn up at once Bump for this lovely example down in the Southeast for those who want a handover in London/Kent or Sussex...
16. SOLD For sale only, no trades thanks...at a very attractive 650 QUID VID HERE https://www.youtube....eature=youtu.be Only selling to help fund the purchase of another instrument, on the block is my fiesta red Fender Road Worn Jazz from 2012. 8.5lbs in weight, perfectly balanced, and a really fabulous example of this brilliant line of basses. Action set nice and low, this is a good one with a resonant body and lots of heft in the tone. It is also notable for having the longest sustain I've ever found in a J bass in a long history of playing jazz basses. Condition wise it has the rudimentary relic job of the RW range but is pretty much as new with faint fret wear etc. It's a good one but I have to release funds for a purchase... Ideally I would like to meet up in Sussex, Kent, London or around the M25 as it comes with a Fender soft case...and meeting up is always preferable! Pics here....
