Up for sale is my ROLAND DB700. A classic all in one package for not a lot. Capable of putting out a lot of wallop and some delightfully 90s processing when needed to boot (especially the chorus!) Roland Spec sheet (https://www.roland.com/ca/products/db-700/) Digital bass amplifier with FFP amplifier technology for maximum punch and compact design COSM amp models of Solid State, Tube and Tube Drive bass amps, plus natural tube compression Perfect size and power for mid- to large-size stages and concert halls Dynamics-sensitive "D-Chorus" effect Shape controls and three-band EQ with semi-parametric midrange Amp settings can be stored in program memory for instant recall via footswitch 250W total output power using 15" speaker and high-efficiency horn tweeter Built-in DI with XLR and 1/4" outputs Simple operation with knob-based control This works fine (had a blast on it yesterday) but is a tiny bit cosmetically challenged (see pics). Asking price reflects this I hope. But it's definitely loud, no buzzing, and does the job admirably! PICKUP ONLY - Available for pick up at a friends address in North London (Finsbury Pk area) Pics!

Very nice indeed. I've always gone back to Stingrays. Current core main basses both from '89

It's funny how basses get a specific smell. I have had a few nitro finished basses (excellent instruments and naming no names) that gave off the aroma of old socks. They were very funky basses though, mind...

Pretty sure it's a solo performance so will be acoustic guitar...no full band or bass playing I expect.
-
Yep - his bass playing is very unusual. The bass is fundamental to how the music sounds; lots of interesting pedals/suspensions/inversions. They always were a cut above, the Sprouts. And the early stuff is bonkers, in a very good way. Stingray ahoy...

Seconded - At their best, they're up there with the best of the best in my book.

Here's a bump - it's Paddy's birthday today. Martin is doing a nationwide solo tour in Oct/Nov performing his favourites from the Sprout catalogue (quite a lot to choose from). Paddy is still suffering from Meniere's I gather. What a fantastic band....and Martin's a Stingray man no less

@woodinblack Many thanks! First time for me to have someone trying to hack my BC account...
-
Not sure if anyone else experienced this but I had two automated messages last night from [email protected] saying several attempts had been made to access my account.

Thanks all - the ideal is equidistant between the band mates which is in that sort of Orpington-esque area, maybe a bit further around the M25 anti-clockwise. Seems a bit of blank space as far as rehearse; spaces go. But if anyone has any ideas in that zone, do let me know!

Thanks all. Looks like Abbey Wood is having to close which is a shame. Shall investigate!

(thought this might be better as a new post under a specific title, sorry about bumping the one below) Any recommendations for a nice studio space to the SE of London/NW fringes of Kent? Somewhere with good backline/PA/parking? Like Ritz in Putney but SE, ideally. Not sure it exists but on the lookout for a nice place to make noise between Kent and SE London... Hoping to accommodate band members who are a bit, erm, spread out
