  1. Boxed and as new, still has protective film on screen. Used for a month, from new. Just not needed! Located on Isle of Wight, postage available.
  2. That new Nathan East model isn't traditionally pretty, is it? Has the flag bass ever been available for purchase? Fair play to the man himself and Yamaha for doing something new and different.
  3. Open to trades, especially in the shapes of Line 6 Helix Stomp, Fender Stage 800, 5 strings, short scale 4s... WHY.
  4. It is certainly an option that I've considered for a while! Drummer does because we run tracks which he queues and is all done to a click. Now I am going ampless seems a good time to commit.
  5. My amp is up for sale, cab has gone, most of my pedals have gone. Have done the last month with just the amp as a preamp and my wedge. The drummer uses a TD50 and guitarist is ampless. Once my amp sells i'll see where to go next for a pre and will upgrade the wedge. We've always had a low stage sound, I loved my rig, but lugging a 2x12 & 1kw amp for monitoring over and electric kit an a couple of little FBT 8" monitors is ridiculous!
  6. The cab has now sold, so just the amp now! £450 for this little powerhouse in good-as-new condition!
  7. In great condition, one of the most transparent, quietest compressors out there! Edit, I'm looking for £120, not £140 as mistakenly input above!
  8. Price is £450 for the amp, price at top was for both amp and cab. Cab has now gone to a new home, just the amp left! Reason for sale: it's just not needed. As much as I haven't wanted to admit it, we invested in a big RCF PA setup not long after I bought it all, and it had just been used as a monitor. The matching cab has now sold, so this will be used as a preamp only now. It seems silly to run a 1kw amp as a pre. It sounds glorious, the amp is so powerful, it's basically a LM3 with tons more headroom! The amp has always lived in a neoprene laptop bag, inside a hard case. It is genuinely AS NEW and has had an easy first year of life. I'm located on the Isle of Wight. Can look into postage, collection available from Southampton or Portsmouth.
  9. S'all good dude. Was an interesting post.

    Shure GLXD16

Sorry, not an answer to your Q... But how do you like the Shure? I've had bad luck with a Line 6 G50 with dropouts and the reviews are awful for the G70. The Shure looks very smart.
  11. This was one of the reasons our drummer has started using a TD50! We don't do pubs, but if we need to go louder we just turn the PA up and the mix remains.
  12. Me either! No idea how the original line goes.
  13. Bought a Fuel Tank Jr from Patrick. Was shipped the same afternoon I sent payment, tracking number and all. Really good seller and very straightforward transaction. Thanks!
  14. I agree Blue. I was in 2 bands a couple of years ago and it wasn't an issue. Neither band gigged every weekend. One of them, an originals band, spent more time writing, recording and promoting than playing live. Now I'm in 1 band, but we play 3 or 4 times a week. I'd always be letting someone down trying to juggle another band now, and it wouldn't be fair of me to do so. If I'm free and want another gig then I just pick up a dep gig.
  15. Ah yeah, sorry I misread that. Tbh, they're still worth a try. I really like the Compressore. I only shifted mine because I didn't want another PSU and wanted something smaller. There's a recent thread where a few of us chat about the Keeley Bassist, if budget allows, they're great. Very simple in use, clean and clear like the Markbass and low noise, like the MB too.
  16. I used a Compressore extensively, I don't think you need to worry about the tube, they're pretty sturdy. Get a 2nd hand Spectracomp if it's just for home use? Very well regarded and comparatively cheap.
  17. I'd say it's important in certain contexts. As is being able to slap, shift what you're playing up or down a step on the fly, play with a pick, contribute with BVs... And countless other skills. If you want to play jazz gigs it's obviously a bigger deal than rock gigs.
  18. I forgot I owned one until it was returned from a (very) long term loan a few days ago. I recorded some tracks with it years ago and it got a cool sound. But, live, I just don't like it. It's already been advertised and sold. So I can't be too upset with it!

    Compressors

The everything at 12 setting for me on the Keeley only really catches when I dig in or am on the B string. It's very sensitive though, if I went to minus 25 then it'd likely compress every note. Actually, I probably have it set slightly left of noon. Minus 22/23 or so! It's certainly the quietest compressor I've used. At the settings I use it doesn't amplify any hiss. The only thing i dislike it that the knobs move TOO easily... So it's lucky I do have it all at 12!

    Compressors

General compressor for me. 4:1, on all the time. First in the chain, after tuner.

    Compressors

What settings are you using with the Keeley? For me, it's an always on, and the 3 dials are at noon... Not too exciting, but it's what works! Haha.
  22. I should give it a thorough write up, really. I've had it over 3 months now and it's done at least 2 gigs a week since, I think the honeymoon period is over, its not a 'new' bass anymore. It's replaced a Sadowsky 5. Which was great too. Definitely interested in the black 425!
  23. Bas, I want your white 1025 😁 The new BBP35 is astonishingly good. Think I'll look to pick up a 235 next, unless I can find a 425 when the time comes. Wish I'd tried the BB's years ago!

    Cheap combos

Messaged earlier, unfortunately too far for collection. Bargain for someone though! Cheers.
