1. I should start by saying, I'm not 100% sure this is a smart move on my part and it is up elsewhere, so could be pulled at any moment. Only considering selling as I need to downsize all round, hence my Vanderkley also up for sale. I'll post specs in a minute. But, this is quite simply the best I've used. It is 5kg, so bigger than the normal class D... But, it's different class. Comes with bag, Glock power cable and rack ears. It's less than a year old, as new. https://ibb.co/fvSiSv https://ibb.co/knGSnv https://ibb.co/bv6tSv https://ibb.co/etowfF New Class A input stage High performance class D power amp section (700 watts / 4 ohms, 375 watts / 8 ohms) Also available as 2,7 ohms version 700 W / 2,7 ohm, 500 W / 4 ohm, 270 W / 8 ohm Excellent equalisation section, switchable with semi - parametric mids LED peak indicator for pre amp and power amp LED indicators for all switch functions Dual high impedance input A/B box with separate pre gain trim for input B Effect Return also usable as mp3 player and additional mixing input Balanced DI out Tuner out Phones out Compact and robust design Lightweight 5 kg (11 lbs) Tone controls: Switchable 4-band EQ Bass +/- 15 dB Low +/- 12 dB Mid +/- 12dB Mid frequency, 0,2 - 4 KHZ Treble +/- 12 dB
  2. Thank you for reopening! She's back up for sale. Apologies for the lack of Photos. Photobucket have done something since i uploaded, so there are links to the images. I'll try embed them asap https://ibb.co/ixoq7v https://ibb.co/nGzmfF https://ibb.co/iZq3Sv https://ibb.co/hbrMEa https://ibb.co/jUY7nv
  3.
Eeew... that's WIERD!
If you think that's weird, you should've seen the one I made earlier... ebony, inlayless, cream binding, pink sparkle finish and matching headstock... hideously beautiful! I actually loved it.
  4.
I'm not on FB so had to Google the item: http://www.diamondpedals.com/products/bass-comp/
Thank you. Yes, it's a top quality pedal compressor. As used by Paul Turner. The Facebook link is for my ad, just to show a picture. I thought it'd be set to public so everyone could see. Will see if I can make that so.
  5. Fantastic condition. We all know what great pedals these are! Optical Compressor, that seems a 'tone enhancer' as much as a 'compressor'. Price includes UK postage. Here's a link to my FB ad... as I don't know what the photobucket situation is atm... https://m.facebook.com/groups/298259546971359?view=permalink&id=1068519503278689

    Power Supplies
Something isolated, flexible 9/12/18v that fits under a PT Nano - Cioks DC5
Thanks for the heads up, I've just ordered one ☺
  7.
I got mine here - they really need to get themselves in Google shopping results! http://www.hotroxuk.com/cioks-dc5-link.html
Perfect! Thank you. Will place them as far away as is possible on a Nano!
  8.
I have had a couple of those 18V Diago tips fail on me in the past so I'm a bit weary of using them now. If buying a new isolated power supply, just get one with an 18V output rather than using an 18V Diago tip - like a True Tone CS7, or Cioks DC5 if you want to squeeze it under a Pedaltrain Nano/Metro. There's also a cheap one named the DC8 made by either Vitoos or Fame that is gaining some fans around here!
Good shout. Having done a little more reading that prob is best. If I could find the Cioks DC5 in the UK I'd buy one. The Palmer PWT05 looks good, but is maybe a bit too tall to fit under a Nano.
  9. Yep, Diamond just told me as much. I'm guessing the guy I bought it from simply lost it. I'm thinking about get a power brick now anyway. Palmer do one with an 18v out, or a Fueltank Jr and I'll try that Diago doubler, or get the Y cable.
  10. I just picked one up 2nd hand, thought they came with a PSU, but apparently try not. What's the best way to power it? I use an OC2 which is powered from the TU2. But, nkw I'm thinking about getting a Fueltank Jr and the voltage doubler amd running them all from that. Or, can you just get an 18v PSU for the Diamond?
  11.
Five string bass, job done.
Though I do agree, it helps and I use them for that reason... 'A bit of basic theory, job done' might be more pertinent!
  12. On the flip side to the OP, I hate it when people (guitarists, usually) get fussy and won't change key despite being asked for the singer's sake.
  13.
...
I've had this too, I use my 'rubbish venue amp' which is an almost 20 year old Peavey combo in These situations, it's litterally indestructible I think! Sorry to go off topic, but out of interest, how is the EBS compared to the Genz, power wise? I'm so tempted by them, but 'only' having 350w does put me off.
  14. I'd have had this had my cab sold. Seems to be a tough time to shift them.
  15.
I have to add that the S112 pair has been relegated to home use... They're great, but the pair of Barefaced Two10 when combined with the Mesa D800+ amplifier is a few notches above the S112 rig. It's bigger, but not terribly so and not that heavy either... and it sounds fantastic. The bottom end hits you, but I retain all the definition that I loved on the TKS cabs... a great sound that blends in beautifully in the band but retains presence and it just feels so powerful. I bet the TKS would sound great with the Mesa too, but the Two10 can use the power from the amp and deliver beyond what the smaller S112 cabs can do. I'm still loving the S112 cabs, which is why they stay until space becomes an issue, but there's no contest between these two rigs. Here's the new kid:
They look ace. Have to ask though, how is the vinyl finish? Have they sorted out whatever glue issue was causing them to strip? I wouldn't mind picking one up, if that's all history.
  16.
Don't suppose you would consider a trade for a GK2001 RB or Mark Bass Jeff Berlin Combo? Ta Mike
Thanks for the offer. Tempting, but I'm gonna have to pass. Cheers.
  17. ACDC - You Shook Me Zombie - Cranberries Free - Alright Now Sweet Home - Skynard Free Falling - Tom Petty That's just off the top of my head from a recent gig. SO many great tunes, so few chords.
  18.
I use 2 Vanderkley 112EXTs and I'm very impressed with them. They are very articulate but still with lots of bottom end. I use either my DB751 or my PF800 through them. They are also very light, which is a real bonus when loading in and out involves flights of stairs or a fair walk to and from the car! The fact that they have handles on both sides encourages me to use both hands to lift them (although a one-handed lift is easy). I tore my shoulder doing a one-handed lift with a heavier cab that I once owned (ouch!). In short you wouldn't be disappointed with them.
I'd like to try 751 with with my MNT212. I've used various micro amps with mine and i prefer it with my Glockenklang. It is only a 600w rated cab, but the man himself said it'll work well with more. It's such a big sounding cab, I think it suits a heftier amp. I very tentatively put it up for sale, but am considering withdrawing it.
  19.
Bump.
Thinking of withdrawing type bump...
  20. He'll sell every one that he builds, no worries. They're not mass produced, there won't be loads of them.
  21.
They make a larger version which, by coincidence, is teardrop shaped. Internal guitar case dimensions: Length 1245mm 49 " Lower Bout 393mm 15 1/2" Upper Bout 337mm 13 1/4" Body Length 558mm 22 " Body Depth 70mm 2 3/4"
Yeah, that one is too big! Haha.
