Hi where are the pics and also where are you based?
Hi, aren't the pics showing? I can see them... i'm based on the Isle of Wight, but could do collection from Southampton/Portsmouth. Or postage is an option as it is in a good hard case.

This is in mint condition, it has been kept in the hard case pictured when not in use. Bought from Bass Gear about a year ago. Great amp, GAS happens and now I'm finding myself looking at others... If someone wants a full 500 watt gig rig that weighs about 22kg then I can do a deal if you'd also like my TKS cabs! They pair brilliantly together. Cheers. Unfortunately, i'm thinking about moving these one. Most people probably know that i love these cabs. They are really great and i've loved every gig i have played with them. But, i need to go back to a one cab solution owing to a future tour and the fact that i just picked up a plain grille s112 for practice and smaller gigs where i only need one cab. Both of these cabs are without tweeters. I went without off of Tommy's advice and haven't lacked for high end once. I have owned them for a year or so, from new and i'm not sure (?) they could be the only ones with this grille cloth on BC? I've not seen others. They come with padded covers, which are also very nice. It is well documented here what these cabs will do and how they sound. I don't think anyone that has played one has a bad word to say about them. They are in PRISTINE condition. I have really babied them! Probably owing to the fact that i spent hours and hours agonising over which finish to go for! I will split them if i get two interested parties... But, two of them together look so badass - it'd be like taking one of the last two puppies from the RSPCA. I am on the Isle of Wight, collection from the south coast - Southampton, Lymmington or Portsmouth are much preferred. If you're not in a mega rush to get them i can look into postage, it just may take a while to get them boxed and securely packaged for shipping. To buy now i believe would cost the best part of £1000, and these really are in new condition. I've always had PA support too so they have never been pushed hard Trades possible: more interested in high end 5 strings, these plus cash your way. Oh man. A proper musical genius.

Bumping this up to ask if anyone has taken the frame off the front of their cab? I picked another s112 up second hand and there is a bit of a vibrating noise behind the grille cloth. There are the two little tabs, but I don't want to yank it off if there is a knack to it?!

Good find, again...!! These look cool.
muso Jurgen Klopp's
Brilliant! Sandberg are great. Cool company with good customer service too. I love my VM5 Supreme; but unfortunately it's time to move her along 😯

Selling my practice amp as my band now practice in a guitar shop! Really cool little amp that reproduces a low B really well. 70 watt, 4kg and two neo drivers. Shipping possible, but collection from the South coast preffered. Very important to me too. We do a lot of weddings and corporate gigs. We dress smart on stage, so having a cab with a rusty grill and ripped/chipped tolex would look out of place. As much as I actually like them, roadworn basses are a no go too. I much prefer classic styling too, rather than something covered in flashing LEDs.

I'm putting Sandberg up for sale. I've not had it long at all - less than a year. I really do like this bass a lot. But, i'm playing at least three times a week and my back can't take it. Therefore, unfortunately, i need to move this on and get something feather weight. This bass weighs 10 lbs exactly - so isn't a back breaker, it's just because of the amount of playing i'm doing and due to a bad back anyway, i need something super light. It is a real quality instrument. Fit and finish are perfect. It plays wonderfully and has a great low B. It balances perfectly on the strap too. It has a Sandberg gigbag with it. I have done quite a few gigs with it, BUT, i am beyond careful with my gear and it is in extremely good condition. It has no gouges, dings or chips whatsoever. I'll say 9.5 out of 10. It could pretty much pass as new. I am based on the Isle of Wight, so collection from here, Portsmouth, Southampton or Lymmington are preferable. I could post at buyers expense, if needed. But i'd rather not as it isn't in a hard case. I could be tempted by trades for light weight 5s. Sadowskys/Mike Lull's etc... The spec goes something like this:

Neck: 6 x bolted / canadian hardrock maple
Fretboard: 22 frets, block inlays, matched headstock
Scale: 864 mm / 34"
Body: Alder
Finish: Creme
Pickups: 1 Sandberg splitcoil / 1 Sandberg powerhumbucker
Preamp: Glockenglang 2-band, active / passive, passive tone control
And the sun is out!
I don't know about the Vanderkley, but looking at your list, I'm fairly confident that the TKS S112 uses the Eminence Beta 12. They describe it as a ceramic Eminence driver and the specs check out. I also found an older post on a Finnish bass forum (via Google translate) where Tommy from TKS refers to using the Beta 12 in the earlier 112 model, the one before they changed the styling and added the S to the name.
You're right, this is what Tommy told me when I ordered mine.

Wow, what a looker. Never really paid much attention to Mayones but am finding myself quite drawn to the BE 5 Ash on Bass Direct's website!
My inner pedant is going mental right now, don't Sandberg use Glockenklang pre-amps? I've no experience with Delanos though, they always seem to be described as Hi-Fi which I don't like so much. I find the Hi-Fi sound to be too electronic sounding and much prefer a more natural sound. Maybe I just don't like active electronics but then again I'm getting a Sadowsky pre fitted to my Lull at the minute so go figure!
Yeah, you're right. I got a bit sidetracked at the mention of Sandberg and my answer was related to them! The same things get said about the Glock with it being hifi. I really like that it is simple, quiet and not too overpowering.
-
Yes I thought this too - very clean hi-fi sound on the Sandberg VM-5 I had, but actually quiet low output.
Yeah, I really like this about it. I have a VM5 too and switching between active and passive can be done without the need for amp adjustments.

There are so many top cabs to choose from, you pays your money's and takes your pick. I'll throw in my vote for TKS as I normally do. But, honestly, if you can't try them; use the search facility to try form your own conclusions and make your decision. There are probably 10 or so companies making top quality lightweight cabs that are all different flavours. of great. It's down to price/look and which flavour of great you're after. FWIW I chose TKS over the competition because, they weigh 10kg per ceramic 1x12, were cheaper than the alternatives (though that wasn't the clincher), the support and customer service i had received was great, the build quality is impeccable, I could customise the aesthetics, they are physically compact little cabs, have a very tight bass response, lovely articulate midrange and just sounded like solid, proper bass cabs. They work perfectly in my functions band and I've had no desire to change them yet.

Great British Bass Lounge? They stock Barefaced.

I only use the third for playing triplets. Otherwise it's two all the way. I like the thumb for palm muted stuff too.

Well, I'm on the Isle of Wight... will be playing at the IOW Festival this year, have played it once before and it was an incredible experience.

Mega cringe. I did a pub gig once with a wicked drummer, who has played many tours with a world famous artist, who folded his arms and sat there in silent protest when he got his 'solo'. It was all very playful and done in jest, and the crowd enjoyed it more than they would have a drum solo most probably!

Advice on set-up/checking action after changing strings on a Stingray
M@23 replied to AinsleyWalker's topic in Bass Guitars
YouTube will have a ton of stingray specific vids. That's probably your best bet.
