1.
Fixed
Yep, that also works!
2. They don't sound like musicians to be honest. If that's a genuine opinion, they have little understanding of the basics.
3. £40 delivered. New, but not in original box. Wires measures approx 26cm, so should be good for neck or bridge placement. Great versatile pickup. 4. That's a great looking bass.
5. I'm on the look out for one of those G&L M2500 Nick. Nearly picked one up instead of the Sandberg, now I want both! They look fantastic.
6. Mojo is cool, grime isn't.
7. £32.50 posted.
8.
I was looking to see if anyone had back to backed TKS or bergs or barefaced. I get the feeling I will have to wait and see what funds I can raise and then see what is on the market or what is in stock with Bass Gear and Bass Direct and such and make some travel plans.
They are all different flavours of great and will each offer something different. Bass Gear trip is a good idea as you can directly compare Aguilar/Berg/tks and whatever else they have in.
9. I have just the two as well. My Sandberg and my first ever bass. At some point I'll get a decent backup, but I'm enjoying having one main instrument.
10. Dude, £1k for both?! That's a serious bargain for someone.
11. Bump.
12. Sandberg VM5. Most versatile bass I've owned. It's a beauty too.
13. This is an example of what a Fender Precision should be. It's light, well balanced, plays beautifully and sounds incredible. Deal with confidence in seller and bass here!
14. That vynil!! I wanted that finish but bottled it and went plain black, same grille cloth though. They look incredible!
15. Great looking bass. What a good idea for jack socket placement too!
16.
Depends on the amp. My Phil Jones Double Four is tiny, about the size of a shoe box, but perfectly giggable for the average jazz gig, you wouldn't need anything else.
Agreed. I've started using mine for my quiet gigs. One of my 1x12s and amp only weigh 12 or 13kg and are nice and portable. But, the Double Four is almost unbelievably small. So much so, that with gigbag on back I could quite happily walk to local gigs.
17.
That's my gig set up.
Really? PJB Double Four?
18. 70 watt, though it's only driving two 4" speakers.
19. Squier Bronco? They're short scale, very cheap and cracking basses.
20. I don't put much in the pockets. One cable, batteries, strap, business cards, clip on tuner. I wish I could afford to keep the Protec as I think it is a brilliant case. It's just, having lived with for a week, done a few load ins, it's not what I'm after. If anything, I don't even need that level of protection - which before buying was my main requirement. So, I'll look into the more compact, lighter options.
21. For anyone interested, I've lived with this case for a week, two gigs and two rehearsals... I'm sending it back. It is an utterly brilliant case, lots of storage and very nicely made. It fits the bass well and offers lots of protection. But, it is too bulky for me. My bass isn't the lightest and once in the case the whole thing is a bit cumbersome. For those thinking of buying one, I would buy another. I really like the case. But, a gigbag it ain't. I'm going to be swapping it for a MONO Vertigo.
22. The price increase, I assume comes from Protec. Whilst researching the case, I found an old thread whereby it was mentioned the Thomann price was cheaper than cost price from the UK distributor to a certain shop.
23.
Just an off-topic question here, do you know the cheapest places to get one of these? I'll need another for an incoming bass
Thomann mate. Mine was a touch over £82.
24. I avoided the film too, its been on Netflix for a while. Might give it a go then.
