Could have the Toilet Seat Bass for only 10k more... But, seriously, what a beautiful piece of Fender history.
Markbass Little Mark 2 or 3 would do that, sound nice and warm...
Agreed. (Not that I'm selling one, or anything...)

Hi All, I have decided to sell my Little Mark 3. It is a 2010 model that i have owned since new. It didn't get a great deal of use originally as the only band i was in was an originals outfit and we were really only playing gigs with supplied backline! However, it has had weekly use over the last couple of years and has been faultless. It is of course made in Italy - and may be class A/B given it's age, rather than class D, but don't quote me on that! It is standard stuff really, lovely clean but warm tone that has worked well with every cab i have used it with. It is in very good condition, there are no dents or noticeable marks when the amp is sitting atop a cab; the only thing worth mentioning is that there are a couple of scratches to the paint on the bottom of the amp. This came from the shop i bought it from like it, and without the scratches the amp would be mint condition - it could easily be touched up, don't know why i've never thought to do so...! In the photos i have pictured these scratches to show it is just to the paint and there is not a single dent or gouge to the chassis. I am only looking to sell as i fancy a change, even though i know i will miss this great amp, so with that in mind i am open to trade offers for other amps. Ideally a Tone Hammer 500, as that is what the cash would go towards. I am on the Isle of Wight, so collection available from here, Southampton, Portsmouth or Lymington. £350 including UK delivery. It does take getting used to and lots of it is trial and error. One of the best guitarists i know holds his plectrum in such a weird unconventional manner. Try different picks too, shapes, sizes and flex. I anchor my pinky somewhere on the guitar/bass when playing the higher strings and like you, lightly palm mute when playing the lower strings - which might be worth trying if you are finding pick playing difficult standing up as it would give you a bit more stability.
-
Definitely seperately! Unless you're holding an open audition it'd just be awkward. If they are a front man/woman then they should be able to take centre stage. Especially for functions bands, they should be self aware and confident enough to adapt to the situation and act appropriately as required for the gig. Of course, ability, versatility and likeability are vital! Good luck!
Thanks for the info M@23,a slipped disc last weekend is steering me towards considering a pair of 8ohm Markbass Standard 104HR's.
They'll be great. Really nice cabs, just one is plenty capable. Two will be brilliant. Hope your back heals soon too mate. Not nice.

Markbass Cab Opinions and Speakon Question
M@23 replied to Danthearsonist327's topic in Amps and Cabs
Guess it's all just BS! How do you like these cabs M@23? Serving you well?
BS is about right! Unfortunately I don't have my 102p anymore, but regret selling it and would really like another! If you have two you can stack them vertically too for a smaller footprint and easier-to-hear-yourself 4x10. I pushed one cab pretty hard and didn't have any issues though. They are punchy little things. -
Markbass Cab Opinions and Speakon Question
M@23 replied to Danthearsonist327's topic in Amps and Cabs
I've used two 102p together and a 102p with a 151p, the two 102p 2x10 paired far better. They are really great cabs. Having two would cover all eventualities. One is plenty enough for small gigs. Saying that, two 151p would make a pretty cool 2x15!! Definitely find the cab you like and buy a second for maximum versatility, if you want a small light modular rig that can be used for bigger gigs too. -
That was a tribute to Bobby Robson - great fun. Full story here.
Wow. Dream come true sort of stuff there.

Enjoyed that. Looks like you've had some great gigs. What was the one with the orchestra and X Factor fella, amongst others?
-
These look cool. I'd love to try one. Nevada is a good shop too.
-
Yeah, looks like a 70s/80s Japanese thing. Or what was once one! A Teisco or something maybe?
-
They're going to sound huge! Look very smart too.

Basses In/Basses Out 2014 - And What You've Learned......
M@23 replied to spongebob's topic in General Discussion
In: 2x TKS s112 A Markbass Compressore (which is soon to be moved on) A 1996 Japanese Precision Out: Markbass 2x12 Hopefully soon to be out: Markbass Little Mark 3 and Compressore I've learnt that I prefer simplicity. After trying all sorts of pedals, it's just not for me. I've even been using my clip on headstock tuner over my TU-2! I've also gradually gone from an ultra modern tone with my last originals band to a more old school vibe with the current and main functions band. So, a P bass into a decent amp and my modular 2x12 (why did I lug 4x10 and 2x12 cabs around for so long?!) Suits me down to the ground. Whilst I love Markbass gear, I'm also moving away from it in 2015. The LM3 and Compressore are great, but the time for change has come! -
Markbass discontinued their 6x10, I've no idea if you'd be able to find one new now, probably not. The Classic 104 pictured above is long gone too. The 4x10 version of your cabs is the 104HF and the 2x12 is the club600f32 - both with front ports like your cabs. If you're after a 2x12, there is one for sale here on BC - a club600f32 which itself has just been discontinued and you're unlikely to see another 2nd hand one come up for sale soon; and it probably won't be in the great condition this one is in!
-
Wow, as mentioned, that thing is ugly. You'd have to have some money to buy another person's custom spec'd second hand bass for 30k!

Suggestions for covers songs - recent & crowd pleaser
M@23 replied to mingsta's topic in General Discussion
My covers band ends with Sex on Fire by KoL - it's pretty much guaranteed to get a drunken sing along going.
