It looks great from a distance if you squint! I think a set of white Dimarzio pickups would look the mutt's preverbials in that thing, the black pickups just look so out of place to me!

Liquid skin is indeed a reality, it is almost like putting PVA glue on the end of your finger! It's designed mostly to be an invisible plaster, so i'm not sure how durable it is! But i have tried it a couple of years back and it worked great, but i didn't play a gig with it. Should be easy to find in Boots/Superdrug with the plasters.

I've been playing about 5 years now, and one of the major bass songs in my life has got to be RHCP - Higher Groud (among others). Well, when i first learnt to slap, i gave Higher Ground a go, and it was about as awkward, rigid and hopeless as a 17 year old could manage! Anyway, Last night i gave it another go, and while it wasn't perfect, it was pretty damn good! (by my standards). So, anyone had similar experiences with songs they've left for years and come back to?

It's also got 2 x 1" tweeters! 5 feet tall... stand beside it at full whack and it will cause internal haemorrhaging all over!

Does the half inch in the scale length really make a difference when you're playing? And on the subject of neck dive, I picked a Thunderbird up from a fellow BC'er on Saturday, moved the strap button to the back of the neck and it still dives, but only if I take both hands off. I often take off my left hand, but it takes no effort whatsoever from the right hand to keep it level. On a slightly related note, FAB stands for "Full Acknowledgement of Broadcast".

I have to admit that the drums are the best sounding instrument there.... haha!

I went and picked up the Thunderbird from jackskellington yesterday, stuck some foam under the pickups and gave it a good clean, and it's good as new! Both thoroughly far eastern, the Yam was made in Indonesia, and the Epiphone was made in Korea.

Apparently his played with the streets too, and even depped in for Chris in Muse!

So is anyone on here going to go for this? I can't see it going for much with the description and title of the auction... Does anyone know what it actually is? Or is it just a crap Frankenstein?
