1. Hello Chaps! Bit of a rarity these! I'm selling my Washburn WB66 Idol bass. No pictures of the bass itself at the moment but this is what it looks like: It's not in new condition, it's taken a couple ofknocks in it's time, round the back and bottom edge, and I'll photograph them when I can. There's also a small dint in the back of the neck. Also buckle the usual rash (just in the surface, nothing deep). The pickups have also worn shiny near the E and A, and a couple of the pickup screws have lost their paint and are a copper colour. Further details: WB66 Idol Description: Solidbody bass. It will come in a worn out ABS hard case. Looking for £250, but make me an offer. No trades thanks.
2.
On the bass front, the updated 4003S version comes with a dual trussrod system designed to produce the solid bass tones, ringing sustain and treble punch Rickenbacker are known for. All instruments come with mono output, as well as standard Model 4003 single coil pickups, keywinds and pickguards. 4003S Curves of maple form the body with a traditional Rosewood fingerboard. Dot inlays and no binding make this stand out from the standard 4003
Erm... so the selling point is no binding, no stereo output and dot inlays then?
3. I have one of these decorating my desk at work

No experience, but they look interesting!
5.
Did they make any worthy basses in 1989? Am I stuck with hunting out mundane instruments? Was this a fallow period for Fender or are they, and myself by proxy, not considered vintage yet?
I have the same problem. Whenever i search Basses For Sale section, i usually come up with Stingrays or Warwicks. Were Stingray's good in the late 80s?
6. Piece of string, a nail and a pencil, then a jigsaw?
7. Depends what you want? Andy is great! http://www.ajrguitarmods.co.uk/
8. I didn't know that it's now illegal to do outside the venue. How long has that been the case? I was at a gig last tuesday with a few people selling tickets outside as we queued for the door.
9. Depends what you want, I would suggest talking to a few different ones and seeing who you prefer communication with!
10. First time i listened to Sheep by Pink Floyd, there's a synth noise in the middle, which sounds like a creepy robot saying "Bryyyan", which freaked me out the first couple of times listening to it...! http://youtu.be/3-oJt_5JvV4?t=5m30s
11. That's sexy! Really nice genuine wear. This is a how a real 'relic' looks. And it's awesome.
12. Wow! Lovely!!! Looks fantastic.
13. "Matsumoku" Thunderbird anyone? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1970s-Japanese-Made-MIJ-Matsumoku-Through-Neck-Thunderbird-Bass-Guitar-/291321517744
14. My source is this talkbass thread, which I *think* is the sterling sub ray 4 in trans blue. looks like our very own dannybouy posted the pic. http://www.talkbass.com/threads/sterling-by-music-man-sub-ray4-and-ray5-part-2.1039748/
15. Does this help?
16. I'm pretty amazed that this is still here. I don't need another Jazz. I don't need another Jazz...
17. Have done this plenty of times, we often use the red and white phono inputs to check all the PA speakers are working before a sound check. Sounds like you need to check the gain setting on the relevant channel, and take a bit of time to make sure all is configured as it should be.
18. I suppose they would look ugly, but would the black plastic jazz knobs be an option?
19. Cool info, cheers Jon.
20.
So what was he talking...?!
Ordinary bollocks?
21. How well does it transmogrify?
22. yup, Ziricote for me too.
23. Happy to help!
24. Entwistle pickups fitted in these too.... Cool!
25. I quite like the semi acoustic, and the les paul triumph clone. Link to Bass Gallery and prices here. The two I like the look of (luckily for me and my wallet) are not present. http://www.thebassgallery.com/BassProductListingTemplate.cfm?Brand=Revelation&type=Bass%20Guitar&Cat_ID=1
