I've received quite a few offers of trades and have to say I'm tempted by one of them... keep the bass amd amp/cab/combo offers coming! Also new photo of the neck profile added above as requested by a basschater. Also a photo of a ding on the top of the headstock, luckily it's where you don't look and it doesn't show up because it's black, all the same I'll include a hardcase or pro gig bag if it goes for the asking price. (I had a dream last night that I received a PM telling me to stop bumping my ad! )

Machined brass. String spacIng .656"/16.5mm Tuners: Gotoh GB-7 Finish: Black General Review This bass is unbelievably easy to play; I think this is mostly due to the neck. It is very slim front-to-back and also has a narrow string spacing of 16.5mm. I never thought I had any problems moving across the string on my other basses, but when you play this it is so effortless it makes 'normal' basses feel very agricultural. It also has a super-low action and is easily the most stress-free bass I've ever played. I think this is aslo light weight, for a six-string which makes life generally easier. It's 4.36kg or 9lb 10oz. Reading dots is also made easier as you hardly ever have to change positions, it's like being able to reach the 9th fret whilst in first position, magic! Momma didn't raise no fool! If it's sooooooooooooooooo good then why are you selling it?! I bought this for a jazz project that I was getting involved in, but we couldn't find a drummer So now I'm the drummer as they have found another bass player, who annoyingly can't play drums (hey, at least I'm not playing a g**t*r instead!) And sadly he's happy with his current bass guitar. I think these are closing in on £3000 new (See here) Not really looking for a trade, but if you want to try me with a lightweight combo like a MarkBass or similar plus cash, or a nice cab. maybe even a nice head? Not really after another bass... but you can always try me! I do like a nice jazz. Now includes a free hardcase or pro gig bag if it goes for the asking price. 18.
That whooshing noise is the whole of this thread passing over my head!
If I was better at countdown (the TV show not the tune) then I'd have saved myself trying to play this backwards (badly) and realising what the word-play in the title is. Try getting a fretless out and inviting a conga player round to join in and you might have a chance with this tune... or not.
  19. Bought a Jazz bass from Simon a couple of weeks ago. Very nice to deal with and was very helpfull and accommodating. Would certainly buy from again. Thanks Simon.

I certainly hope that happens, I'd love to sell the jazz to you. I think that's much more likely to happen if you have your own thread so more people know there is a Stingray for sale. Good luck
Hey there! that is exactly the bass I would like! don't have any cash at the minute, but if anyone is interested I do have a 2EQ Wood Finish Music Man Stingray for sale or trade. this is my one: here's an old picture from my phone http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?act=attach...st&id=39613 and theres these pictures on our myspace from gigs we've done http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...607d7efe255.jpg http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...ecf775893e2.jpg http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images0...51b60a8e7eb.jpg
If you're after selling your stingray it'll be much easier in a thread of its own, a bassist on a quest for a stingray probably won't be clicking on a jazz bass thread (Do I sound annoyed? I hope not, I tried different wordings but they all seemed to sound like I was annoyed at the semi-hijacking of the thread. Hey, a bump is a bump.)
How do you accidentally buy a bass? Can see my wife's face, 'Er, it wisnae me but...'
I guess I'm just accident prone :/ That's my line when my girlfriend asks anyway... and she hasn't spotted the 'accidental' purchase either, result
Thats a bargain of a price for such a beauty if i werent on the hunt for a p-bass, i'd be round yours giving it a try out! gd luck with sale....doubt you'll need it!
Thanks!

    SOLD

Hello everyone. I'd been after a passive Fender for ages and was pleased when I (very recently) bought this. But then I accidentally bought another bass yesterday and due to the old one-in, one-out policy this is up for sale. Fender Jazz 2006 with S1 Switching SPECIFICATION Three Tone Sunburst String through or top load bridge Alder body Maple Neck Maple fingerboard 20 Frets 34" Scale Controls: volume, volume Tone Rolled Fingerboard edges Neck reinforced with graphite rods (I think!) Strap Locks Black and Tortoise shell pick guard included (see photos) S1? Pressing the S1 switch on top of the neck volume control puts the two pickups in parallel giving a thicker tone, getting on the way to sounding like a P bass. Some people like to debate if it's any good; I like it because it gives a little more versatility... and if you don't like it then you can always just not press the button and it's then exactly the same as a normal jazz bass. CONDITION I think the photos show the condition well. It looks good with the only realy serious ding being where you never look, on the bottom edge (see photo borrowed from previous thread). I really haven't had this long, but in the time I've had it I was pleased with how it performed in a jazz trio, a soul band and a function band. Personally I found the S1 switching to be very handy in the function band where I inevitably end up playing all kinds of music. Oh yeah, I've also lowered the action a little and give it a polish. PHOTOGRAPHS Taken in yesterday's sun... Fingerboard Closeups A couple of 'borrowed' photos from previous owner. If you want any photos of any other parts of the bass just let me know and I'll get the camera out. POSTAGE It doesn't come with a hard case because I was planning on this bass being a keeper and I was going to use a gig bag I have for my other bass so didn't buy the hardcase off the previous owner (DOH!) So ideally collection would be the best. But I am a bit of a deamon packer (see my feedback) so I wouldn't mind posting it too much if someone was desperate. I have plenty of packing material. I always used an insured courier, but I guess that is up to the buyer. The bass in Lincoln. PRICE £525 + Postage

But you get what you pay for I guess. Thanks for that those Piezo are rather neat.
I've never looked into radius specs much to be honnest. All I know is that it's not flat like a Warwick and it's not overly curved. Seems fairly close to my American Deluxe Jazz, but maybe stretched to a 5 string? Hope this makes sense. Are you interested in the bass?
