I think I'm a Warwick magnet... I've been offered three in the same number of days... and yesterday I met a guy called Warwick, freaky! Maybe me and Warwicks are just meant to be. But for now I'm looking to sell the Yamaha but would consider a jazz bass as trade, but nothing else... I don't think. Thanks for all the PMs so far.

I've just received a furniture delivery so I've got plenty of packaging materials if anyone wants this sent via courier. I'm a good packager too; the last bass I sent got this reaction for the guy receiving the bass: "I can’t imagine how long it took you to pack it – it took me half an hour to liberate it again! Bombproof is the only word I can think of." Maybe not a tallent to brag about (or to impress the ladies with) but it's useful all the same.
I can't believe this is still for sale. You seen the new price? Neck's a tad too wide for me or I would like a shot. Have a Bump.
The string spacing is slightly narrower than my Fender Jazz so the neck makes sense (feel wise) when you play it. As for the price, I agree, it's a lot of bass per £. I don't know how much they were when brand new (someone else here will I'm sure) but the new versions are not the same, they're neck through and I'd guess they have a dirfferent version of electronics.
Hi - would you be interested in trade + cash for MTD kingston 5 string. Curously its currently strung EADGC but I want something with the full 6 strings. Great bass to play lightweight etc etc. but painted a rather fetching blue. Maple board very pretty.
Hi, it's not really what I'm looking for pickup wise and aesthetically, but thanks (I do like the maple fretboard though). Actually I've just had a great time playing the TRB6 this morning and I'm considering withdrawing it from sale. I probably would get on with a 5 string with a high C more, but I guess it's good to have the extra flexibility of the lower notes (just in case). I'll leave it up here to see if there's any more interest, but I'm not desperate to sell. Thanks for all of the interest/comments so far.
I've been searching for a 'better' 6-string for the last year or so & I still haven't found anything to touch this bass and that includes a top of the range neck through headed Status S2 6er! I'm just on the verge of ordering an ACG Recurve Single-Cut 6...
That's one of the very few basses I've been interested in, but with 5 strings. What's the price range for an ACG recurve single cut. Their website doesn't show any £numbers. Also I believe you live in the same area of the country as me; are you planning on travelling up to Scotland to try the basses out and place your order or is are you ordering over the phone. The closest bass builder I have found is Shuker I think, but I really do like the look of ACG! Thanks.
wow... the neck on that thing... good luck with the sale!
Thanks, I think the string spacing is 18mm at the bridge and the nut is 50mm wide. Some people like these dimensions so they don't get confused when changing from a 4 string bass.
Where was made?? Japan or Korea??
Sorry, I should have been clearer with the model. Is it the newer TRB1006 basses that are Korean? Anyway, the back of the headstock says it was built in Japan. I've just been looking at Yamaha series numbers and I think I've decoded this one to reveal that the bass was made in May 1998. I'm pretty sure OutToPlayJazz has one of these basses, so I'm sure he could probably give you an unbiased opinion on them.

I bought this in October/November last year to see how I got on with a six stringed bass; it was my first bass with more than four strings. Luckily it seems to have a good low action and I've found it very smooth and even to play. Its been a great learning experience... I've learnt I only really need five of the six strings. So this beast is up for sale, while I keep an eye out for a five stringer. Specification: Ash body 3 piece maple/flame maple neck (I think) 24 frets 35" scale Twin truss rods 9V active pre-amp Bass, mid, treble boost/cut pots Pickup plend pot Volume pot What looks like a 1cm scratch on the left of this photo is just a reflection. The gold plating isn't as new Yamaha hard case included. I'd prefer collection (for the bass' safety) but I'm willing to post at buyer's expense. The majority of the bass looks great, as you can see, but there are a couple of dings/chips. If you'd like to see more photos then let me know and I'll post them up or email them straight to you. Price: £450 or make me an offer! MY FEEDBACK
650 quid for an Overwater? Come one somebody - snap his hand off! If I could play left handed I'd have bought it myself already!
For that price it must be worth learning to play backwards! Do overwater do right-hand drive conversions?

I'm VERY reluctantly selling my Little Mark II... just like everyone else I LOVED it's sound, size and weight. I bought if here on Bass Chat not very long ago but have since found that it's not compatable with my cabs because they have a lower impedance than their label indicates And (since it's apreciated here) this is the serial number: SE300081 It is in excellent condition with only a few minor cosmetic marks on the top of the cover. Pictures coming some time this weekend. Price £410 (what it cost me).
I wouldn't give up on your amp and clxs just yet. I had a similar problem which came and went unpredictably. I blamed the bass, got a new preamp and then it happened again, so I blamed my Markbass SA450. As it turned out, it was a lead. I was just fooled because it didn't crackle like a lead problem. They were good quality leads and were nearly new. I should have known better, but I was totally convinced it was the amp, until I bought new leads. It hasn't happened since! It would be well worth trying different leads. If it still happens with the new leads, try using one cab on it's own, if that works perfectly then I guess it could be the impedance. You could always get an eden amp, they can handle down to 2ohms.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm very tempted to go the route of getting an EA iamp since they should match well with the cabs (which I love) and I think they go down to 2 ohms too. There may well be a Little Mark II appearing on the for sale section of this site very soon if anyone's interested. just make sure you're not using EA cabs! Just out of interest how warm do Little Marks normally get when gigging them? When mine cut out it was quite warm and like I said I certainly wasn't pushing it; the master and gain were both only half way and that is far from clipping with my bass.
I had a similar issue too with mine but wouldn't that have been obvious to the OP as the sound would be cutting in and out? I was thinking more around wrong impedance=overheating amp=thermal cut-out. There's a long thread on that US basschat thingy about it, goes on about 35 pages or so.....!
Well I've just been to talkbass http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.p...le+mark+thermal (will this get me thrown off basschat?!) and it seems that my lovely EA cabs are to blame Someone claimed that although they are labelled as 8Ohm they are closer to 6! Surely that could be dangerous? At least the amp has a sefty cut out... and this all means the Little Mark is fine! Not really sure what I'm gonna do. I can't go gigging with a amp that's gonna cut out any second. I REALLY want to say a BIG THANKS to everyone for their help on this. You've probably saved me a lot of time and maybe money too. Cheers.
