... and Bon Jovi does not have an E.
You mean they're not called Bone Jovi? Damn! -
Naaaah. A Status Graphite with a wood body and a wood neck is an identity crisis with strings. Get a "proper" Status with a graphite neck.
Got one! But it has frets, this one has the graphite rod reinforced neck and there's nothing wrong with a bit of fretless woodyness! Also would look good sitting next to mine!

God I'm gassing for this, just down the road from me too. If I could sell my power amp, effects pedal and a kidney I'd grab this at the BIN in a heartbeat!!
I had someone approach me after a show congratulating the band on plying thin lizzys jailbreak. He told us that he appreciated it especially since he was in the band for a little while. At this point I'm wondering since he doesn't look like anyone I recognise. He buys us all a drink and whispers in my ear that he is actually midge ure. This guy was easily twice the size of midge, and was totally bald. We all laughed along until we left and had the 'can you believe it!' talk outside
Yeah I heard Fish forgets who he is after a few

Sat down in front of stage (end of pub, no stage) and very pretty girl who was stood in front of band walks over and sits on my knee, asks if I can get some bloke who was pestering her off her back by pretending to be with me for five minutes. Hmm I think, could get a bit more out of this, so we cuddle and chat for a while, this is going well I think. Five minutes later, bye then! Another time I use my fretless in one song for a change, I ask keys to hold on while I change. After gig I mention it was nice to use it for a change, oh did you, he says. If my band mates don't notice what chance crowd will!
Hi Col, not as yet I'm afraid . I called Matamp and they ran through a few things, non of which sorted it, plus checked all the the fuses and they were fine. They would sort it for me, but I'd have to get it too Huddersfield and it's a bit of a trek. Hamster recommended I try Steve's Amps in Surrey, but he's flat out and not taking any new work for a couple of months. That's as far as I've got.
Ah bummer, I was looking forward to hearing it at the Bash as I was pretty sure I was going to change my rig, probably out of my price range but would have been good to hear. I've used Steve before, very good but as Hamster says very busy and I think he still has a pretty good day job nearby. House full of amps and a little upstairs bedroom full of meters, valves and repair equipment, great stuff! Good luck on getting it sorted, looks an awesome piece of kit.
You better come, or you'll get bashed. Bashed for not coming to the bash by all the bashers from the bash. So don't risk a bashing, don't be bashful and come to the next bash.
Hey did you resolve the problem with your amp?
Great pics! Looks like it was a lovely bash. Wish I could have been there. I will be at the next one.
Nice bass multi effects for sale. Has a few scratches but this does not effect it's function at all. Comes with PSU and a nearly new Gator case. I paid £85 for it in June and £20 for the case so I'm looking for £90 posted all in to UK only. Well on Thursday on the way back from my mums in Loughborough I cut across to Bass Direct in Warwick and pulled the trigger on a TC BH500. Sounded great through the TC cabs but I wasn't sure about the Compact. Gave it its first run out tonight and I was well pleased. Not great on the treble side so I punched the amp treble up and gave my Mxr M80 a tweek and there we were. Hamster popped in to pick up a bass from me and even though I was only on 4 on the master he thought I was just a small notch too loud! So plenty of headroom there then. I still think I will go for a Midget T when money allows though, I was pushing the treble quite a lot and would like a bit more headroom in that respect. Thanks for all the advice, hopefully I'm settled for a bit now but hey, you never know when the gas will get you
Bought a catch o matic grabby stand from David. Thoroughly simple transaction. He's fantastic at packaging too! It took me at least 15 mins to get it unwrapped!! Yet another basschat good guy.
+1 Same here, great to deal with, another top Basschatter!
If y want a good eq i think there is an ea i500 for sale in the classifieds. Great amps and its only about£250
Hmm....tempting!
I use a markbass LM11 into 1 or 2 15" cabs loaded with the same Eminence drivers as the compact. Sounds great to me
I think that's what Sibob had, sounded immense! GK fusion looks good, possibly out of price range, what about the TC BH500, can get a new one in my price range?

Ok, some familiar questions, I've done a bit of searching but could do with some personal input. At the mo I run an MXR preamp D.I. in to a power amp (For sale here http://basschat.co.u...xr-m80-di-fsft/) into a Compact. I want to lighten the load a bit and get a bit more EQ. So what amp should I use, I'll have about £400 to spend so I'm probably looking at something like a TC BH500/Hartke LH500 or 1000/ various Markbass/GK/. I play in a 5 piece classic rock band and a Pink Floyd tribute, fairly loud and I'll probably add another Compact for bigger gigs when I've the funds having heard Sibobs rig at the SE bassbash last week. I think compact and fairly lightweight is a definite, so no massive Ampegs or Mesas (prob out of price range anyway) Thanks in advance...........GAS is a bugger!
