So, i was wearing my BassChat top proudly a while back, not realising my bag strap was covering the 'B'. yes I have fallen foul of being caught out my a sharp witted person in a crowded place. He noticed and everyone else laughed.
Asschat top and a man bag! Hmm.....

Tried out a new drummer last night......bit of a drama queen!
Fell over and hit my head on a cymbal stand mid song, whilst trying to get back on stage, all without missing a note though. Last Friday night the whole band f*cked up the same point in the same song, that was funny, especially considering we wrote it. Liam
We have a few weeks off to get over it but I'm sure come next time there will be a few sniggers when sax time comes around! Me and him play in a Pink Floyd tribute too and have our first gig next weekend, I'm really not sure we should trust him with all the special effects! I can imagine the beginning to Money starting with a duck call or something like that!

Had a classic one last night. First song in the keyboard player grabs his sax for a solo and we can hardly hear him. Singer cranks him up on the PA but it's still pretty quiet. Second half and we're doing Born to Run, he goes for the classic Clarence solo in the middle and again hardly anything to be heard. Part way through he reaches into to the bell and removes the cleaning cloth he has left in there! I just corpsed big style, could hardly play a note from laughing, we're not going to let him forget that in a hurry!

South East Bass Bash No.5, Surrey, Saturday 24th September 2011
I've been in touch with Hamster and he's looking to find a date at the school where we hold the SE Bash... Ideally, it will be on Saturday 28 or Sunday 29 September, but if it moves forwards or backwards a week or two, it wouldn't be a problem.
Sat 29th/Sun 30th surely? ETA....oh yes will be there! -
Looking to out my TRB1005 fretless. Active, 3-band eq, pan-pot and a couple of trim screws in the cavity. I've had it over a year now and it's a great player, I just don't need the five string option and to be honest I find the extra string on a fretless to be a bit daunting. I have a fretted five that covers most stuff and only have minimal use for the f/l five. It's got a few small marks which are hardly noticeable, I've tried to show them in the pictures. The marks by the neck join are in the wood and not cracks at all. It has some light fret marking. Currently has D'addario halfwounds on that have done about 3 rehearsals and 2 gigs with 3-4 songs max so very fresh. So I'm looking to either do a straight sale or trade down to something of lesser value to realise some cash (car Mot and tax on the horizon etc) Not keen on posting, would rather someone collected. I do have a battered old case but I'm not trusting of a courier to be honest. I'm in Addlestone, Surrey. Swaps wise I guess something like the Squier Modified Jazz would be ideal and looking at their values would give me a bit of cash my way. I had one of these before and wish I had kept it. Crap pictures, honestly looks a treat, Iphone seems to wash all the colour out of it and make the marks look worse!

And we definitely do NOT mention "one knob compressors"! -
I posted this in the 'depressing things your bandmates say' thread but it should be here really. Me" it was really nice to get the fretless out for a few songs" Keys"oh you had your fretless, I didn't think you would bring it as there's not much room to stand it on the stage" Me, thinking and muttering under my breath "that was one of the two basses next to where you stand and that I changed over between songs in front of you"

As the title says really, need to slot someone in ASAP as original player is off being preggy, based in the Surrey-ish area. Rehearsals in Cobham and Esher usually on a Tuesday and nearly every week at the moment, one charity gig booked in June so far. Not expecting it to generate a mass of gigs as we all have other commitments but looking to get out there ASAP and see what happens. We play pretty close to original and I feel are all competent players so you are not stepping into anything unprepared at all. Give me a shout!

Mark @ Bass Direct = Top Man = Top Service!
You really think you're just going to browse ? You better leave all methods of exchanging money at home ! I got to agree with everything that's been said already about Mark. Also though Phil at bass gear is not to be forgotten about. I bought my aguilar TH 350 from him, and he sells Gruvgear fretwraps that I've recently started to use.
Welllll......another comfort strap is a possibility and maybe some strings if he does dbl ball end, apart from that I reckon I'm sorted........#famouslastwords! Eta.....don't have any luggage room in minibus so a new rig is a no no! -
No problems. From the castle head out towards the M40 via the A429. Take the southbound exit and come off again almost immediately at j. 14 and go straight across the first roundabout. At the big roundabout head for Leamington, then look for the Heathcote industrial estate. Turn into Rigby Close and follow your nose round to the right. Plenty of parking space. Word of warning though - it's clearly marked but is not a 'normal' shopfront. Edit: he closes early on a Saturday (2.30 IIRC)
Nice one, thanks for the info
