1. I forgot to mention, there is no longer an S1 switch on my bass. The guy I took it to replaced something (forgive me I am not clued in on the technical side of things), There's a picture showing what it currently looks like, I think the knob itself is still being used with a different pot(?). 2. Hey bassheads, I've been having trouble with my bass for about 3 months now and I would be grateful if you folks could give me some suggestions on what it could be. Well back in May my (beautiful) 2007 American Standard Jazz has been having trouble with its neck pickup, the problem being it's giving little to no output whatsoever. I took it straight to my local shop where the repair guy said it's most likely the pot (which came with an S1 switch, apparently they break quite a lot), so an hour later I return and the problem is solved, switch working and all. About 5 weeks later the exact same problem returns, this time when I took it back and tried to show him what the problem was my bass would play absolutely fine. He replaced the pot anyway and when I took it home the problem did not come back. At least, not until today. Same problem, and I imagine it can't be the pot this time. Could the wiring be faulty? Will I need to get some new pickups? Any advice would be much appreciated.
