  1. Hi mate, lm putting my 2002 Musicman Stingray bass sunburst with maple neck that looks like it's just come from the factory for sale soon......if that goes l'll buy your Streamer!
  2. Probably using the extra long bridge screws with any left over from the Jazz Bass's? It's well know that Fender recycled lots of parts from different years. My mate was amazed to find his 70 Jazz had pups from 1966.
  3. Lovely bass, looks nice and honest. It's the exact date of my birthday! Tempted, very tempted.... Didn't realise that Precisions had the extra long G string bridge screw. My 71 Jazz has it but l thought it was just on Jazz basses from a certain date due to the bridge being moved further away from the bridge pick up. Someone with much more knowledge will no doubt educate me.
  4. I've had a loom off John, his work is first class! If l could ask out of interest, what sound was you looking for and what values did you opt for? TIA
  5. John Shuker is the man, he makes excellent hand built basses to an extremely high standard. Who ever buys this with be more than happy!
  6. I get your point, but don't forget the bass players on this forum who have years of pro/semi pro experience, but without the so called technical knowledge that have witnessed otherwise....
  7. I think that's well and truly top trumped my theory and experience I had from totally killing my WEM Dominator combo at full volume while trying to keep up with our drummer from yesteryear.......I'II get my coat..
  8. I think this has been discussed before but l saw Slade at Sheffield City Hall in 72 and 73 and lm sure Jimmy Lea was blasting through a couple of these. Sounded colossal.
  9. When l was younger....much younger, l would have walked over broken glass to pick this lot up and carried it home with it on my back. D class is my limit these days...glwts mate.
  10. I'm sorry but my experience says otherwise....an underpowered amplifier driven hard can cause distortion and clipping....speakers don't like that.
  11. How did you solve the problem mate. With my R400 l recently had the gain at 1 o'clock and the master also at 1 o'clock and it kept going in and out of protect mode. I've change the 3 preamp valves from Watford Valves but it has made no difference. I always use the amp with 2 super compacts.
  12. Absolutely spot on! Running a high wattage amp on low volume is far better than running a much smaller wattage amp on full volume. What you need is an amp with head room and lots of it when playing bass otherwise the speakers will burn out, no matter how good or powerful they are.
  13. I have one of these basses in Tabaco burst with upgraded Nordy pups and a black pick guard. Without doubt the best precision I have ever played and I've had a few. Had mine up for sale 18 months ago but saw the error of my ways and now its definitely my main gigging bass. Great price and worth every penny. Glwts, doubt you'll need it though.
  14. Forgive my total ignorance on this device but does it need a power source? TIA
  15. I'm in. All for a fabulous cause.
  16. An unbelievable piece of Bass amplification royalty. Pure quality both in construction and sound. Absolutely amazing condition too! Our roadies back in the day would have thrown it all head first into our transit van....
  17. Can anyone recommend a great amp repair Tech in South Yorkshire/North Notts area for my poorly MK2 Orange Terror 500. Thank you all in advance.
  18. A great price for a great industry standard amp. We had these in our last band to power the bass bins and it was earth shuddering! Glwts.
  19. Jon Shuker is the man! This bass will look and play beautifully without question. Glwts.
  20. A lovely instrument, I bet it plays like butter and sounds awesome. Jon Shuker is a brilliant Luthier.
  21. What's that long crack along the full length of the neck? Is it serious? 😁
  22. That's great. I know you've said pick up in your advert but could you possibly post it please, l live in Retford. Thanks in advance, Steve
  23. Hi is this still available. Thanks, Steve
