1.
I think it was a 5 I tried. Part of the issue for me was the small body size and the position of the upper strap button up over the 14th/15th fret.
It was the same for me. On the strap the nut ends up being too far away from you. It's similar to the G&L ASAT in that way. It's a showstopper for me.
 2. My Barefaced Retro SIX10 is fabulous. Light, punchy and surf green. It has a little bro TWO10 in case I need the full 8x10 experience, which since I play a lot small venues is usually the case
 3. Someone has paid £442 for that Tribute plus £20 shipping. He could have had this one for a bit more with free shipping https://www.bax-shop.co.uk/right-handed-bass-guitar/g-l-tribute-l-2000-electric-bass-guitar-tobacco-sunburst
 4. Another way of spotting a Tribute is the tuners. The tuners on that eBay are generic and not finished to the standards of the G&L ones.
 5. I've got an L2000 Tribute and it's an absolute peach; light, fabulous neck, good fret work. The one I've got is listed as "Premium" Tribute by some retailers and as far as I can tell this means that it has nicer looking wood as it has blueburst transparent finish front and back rather than a black back. The L2000 Tributes have the USA pickups and build quality is excellent. I paid £270 for mine with a hard case, it's 9/10 condition. I'd love to have a USA one.
 6.
I messaged him a few days ago. No response.
He responded to me on weight. In that ad what does, "The Iain in these is bucket proof. " mean? Predictive text winning in the rush to get this listed.
 7. Reasons for me include some of the same as above:

Other members not knowing their parts at rehearsal.
The band stagnating because no one wants to learn new material and the set list being the same for months.
The band playing EVERY song too fast so that it doesn't groove or breathe. This also leads to people stumbling and falling over themselves and dropping the groove.
Idiots.
8.
That's what I've been using. I'm not sure how the toneprint feature works. Blue
You download a file using the TonePrint app and then play that soundfile to your pickups (bass pluggled into the pedal) and it magically transfers the patch to your pedal. It so easy it's wonderful.
 9. I used one of these for two years and it was awesome. The quality of the effects is about as good as it gets and the build quality of this thing is epic. It's super versatile and more flexible than you can imagine. For anyone using a load of sound live and playing a massively varied set like I was at the time, it's fantastic. It's way way above any of the multi-fx gear out there. Steve Vai uses this live. It handles all the bass you chuck at it too, it's not guitar specific, think of it as studio quality effects at your feet. Good luck with the sale.
 10. I have one but prefer the TC Corona with Toneprint. Tom Hamilton does no wrong in my eye.
 11. Hilarious bit of FB arguing! :-D
 12. +1 I have two BB2024x basses and they are gigged most weeks through monster rigs with no issues. Someone saying that this issue is shocking on a bass costing so much needs to understand a bit more about pickups. Look around at some other high end basses with single coil pickups in them, Lull, Shuker, Pensa etc. Yes, you can get SC pups with dummy coils and you can also get stacked humbuckers but they don't sound the same.
Sean, you just need to drop the "s" in the "https" part of the link address.
Cheers.

 16. Lovely looking instrument and great basses. I'd suggest adding "Tribute" to the thread title as it'll probably get more views/interest.
 17.
Thanks for that. Yes, my aim to use it for rehearsals and small gigs, but mainly as a backup.
Go for it. It's a fantastic piece of kit that gives a lot of peace of mind.
 18.
Beastly things aren't they. I always smash an sft into the front end just for a bit more articulation and poke.
My MJW is essentially a GT200 with dirtier (Ampeg-ish) front end options to get that articulation and poke you mention. Filthiest amp I've ever played. GT200 with BF cabs makes a lot of sense and overcomes the "power limitations" of having just 4 x KT88s
 19. I've gigged one and it is more than adequate through my Barefaced SIX10. I usually use a Mesa 400+ or a Laney Nexus and it was able to match them in volume however compared to big valve monsters it's like alcohol-free beer. I use the Nano as a gigbag backup in case the real amps have issues. It came in useful one time and did a splendid job. The band is a loud rock covers band.
 20. You can get the TWO10!with a 4ohm/12ohm switch. I had the first one.
 21. Has anyone tried or gigged one of these? http://philjonesbass.com/product/ear-box/ I use massive rigs and am always struggling to hear my sound mainly because I'm standing. Ext to it in a tiny venue or small stage. Is this a solution? Any input much appreciated. Gimmick or life-changing must-have cure-all elixir.
