  1. Product Description DIAGO SHOWMAN GUITAR PEDAL & FX PEDALBOARD This mid-sized case offers an ideal compromise between physical size and internal capacity, with room for your most-used pedals and a power supply unit. SPECIFICATIONS: • Internal Width – 750mm/29.5" • Internal Depth – 350mm/13.75" • Internal Height – 100mm/4" • Holds Approx Pedals – Approx up to 12-16 • Weight – 7kg It's been gigged. It's fully functional. It's been naturally relic'd and makes you look like a seasoned road warrior (or a hipster, you choose). Collection preferred but I'm sure I could find some cardboard etc if required. And we can expect about £10 for shipping, I'll check when I know the address.
  2. All done. That's 40DCs out (and up for sale here already so you can buy them without nasty fees) and a 40P and 40J popped in. This is the third LHZ-03 I've fitted and it was a bit different as the new EMGs come with the clever DuPont connectors meaning I saved a fortune on electric as I only needed to solder 3 joints at the jack socket. If anyone wants an LHZ-03 or other preamp fitting, I'm available. I won't charge extra for the luminous green cable ties, battery blanket or fancy printed labels, they're all part of the service. This one is off to rehearsal for the first time tomorrow. That lot never react well when they see something new, so hopefully she behaves herself and makes some new friends.
  3. A pair of 40DC pickups for sale. They come boxed. Loads of tails on them.
  4. I just spotted this. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335754368078?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=rpbRlok9T1C&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=6MnoMIQiQQC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY 2 year warranty. They're big and heavy but they're truly awesome. It's a properly scary amp. One of the few valve amps that has both valve and solid state preamps. It's an absolute bargain IMO. Straight from the manufacturer.
  5. I have heard good things about this https://www.thomann.co.uk/thomann_safecase_80_e_bass_bag.htm?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwzMi_BhACEiwAX4YZUNTh_eKZopah680QlKXktp3HEJUqXjEUPc00DgYhrn3wgqkLj-jiPRoCf4YQAvD_BwE Mono Vertigo is the ultimate if you can find one used.
  6. A busy afternoon with the Euro 5 LX. She's getting new EMGs and LHZ-03. She might have a new bridge by the end of the week too... And she's been promoted to #1 5-string this week. Does anyone know what stain colour these are, what it is and where you can get it?
  7. Legends are out of my wheelhouse (as corporate types say) but someone who knows will be along soon enough. W is the Korean factory that has always made them. I know that. I would then guess it's 2017 and the 329th of that year. But that is just a guess. Wait for someone who knows.
  8. In the words of Col Bill Kilgore, "Get your boys back, it's going to be a big one..."
  9. Is this strung BEAD?
  10. There's a glut of them on the way right now... ...they'll be here before the end of the month, so I'm told 🤐
  11. I've just realised that there's maths, stats or some kind of numerical analysis in about 34.65% of my posts.
  12. Jeez. I would never have guessed it would be that much difference! That could mean the difference between selling and not selling a bass if the buyer is tight and insists on say, <4kg. 4.2 becomes 3.95.
  13. @Mudpup you saved me half a post 😀. I’d be asking them what their plan was after the event and for the future and how this gig is going to do the trick. In a business plan to save the venue this gig would (in my mind) be part of a greater plan. If it’s meant to re-establish the venue and make it a draw for audiences in the future, then how? What’s the plan for the next three months?
  14. Here’s a question that probably fits better here than opening a new thread. I can’t be bothered to take one off and weigh it at the moment, so I thought I’d ask. What’s the weight difference between the older Spector Euro bridges and the new light ones that are apparently <200g?
  15. That's cracking value and similar to Toltec. I was quoted more than double that (£240) for a pair with customisation from a well-known UK maker. I needed 2 pairs of Js made up as humbuckers and it's the difference between £200 and £480 for total job of 4 coils. And because I'm familiar with Toltec and not with the other more expensive one, it's a no-brainer.
  16. Shouldn't this be in Off Topic? I don't go in that forum for some good reasons. Can we get this moved, please?
  17. I know and chap who was in a UFO tribute act.
  18. Does it count if you buy the exact same bass you regretted selling 4 years ago? It's rare, collectable, 40 years old... Surely that's out of scope?
  19. Toltec pickups from Leeds. They're from Laverack guitars. Lee is very helpful and makes a cracking pickup at very competitive prices. His J and P pickups are fantastic.
  20. This is going to missed. It’s had a few Basschat owners and I’ve had it about 18 months. It’s an absolute peach but an incoming bass means this has to go. I’ve sanded the neck up to #2000 grit and treated with Montypresso so it’s like glass, it’s slippery. The body is Mahogany and Poplar, the fingerboard is Panga Panga. Cursive/italics is a cut and paste from previous ads. This is a really special bass, so versatile. Definitely not just a metal bass, it can do it all. Neck is lovely to play, body is nice and comfortable and it balances great on a strap. Condition is excellent. A couple of headstock dints. This one has the Twilight finish with some lovely grain poplar burl. Stock Ibanez preamp and its seriously average Chinese licensed Bartolini BH2 pickups were removed and replaced with US Classic Bass Soapbars and a 3 band Bartolini HR-5.2AP/918 preamp. Configuration has changed from stock to make this the ultimate tone machine and works as follows:- Volume - Push Pull Active/Passive Blend Treble Mids - Push Pull Frequency Selector Bass Toggle Switch 1 - Series/Coil Tap/Parallel Bridge Pickup Toggle Switch 2 - Series/Coil Tap/Parallel Neck Pickup If you've played a stock SRMS805 before, this one will play the same but tonally it really is an entirely different animal. Its fantastic and the array of different tones you can get from all the different coil arrangements is wonderful. It’s about 3.8kg I’ve got proper packaging so if you’d like it posted I can do that for whatever the cost is. I’m in Gloucester if you want to try it through a Mesa or GK amp with BF cab or bring your own. I urge anyone even remotely interested to try one of these.
  21. No, thanks. I’m looking to reduce the number of amps in the collection.
  22. Just bought a little FX unit from Steve. Cracking chap to deal with as we all know.
  23. Surplus to requirements, this brilliant little amp is looking for a new home. It’s been gigged once for about half an hour through a BF TWO10. It’s had some very recent home use but other than that it’s been in a gig bag the whole time I’ve had it. This used to come to gigs with me in the car as emergency backup for the big valve monsters in case they went pop. As most of you know, this is as serious gigging amp that can drive a 410 at volumes way higher than most of use. For 2x10 gigs at pubs and PA venues, it’s more than adequate and it sounds great. That one time I used it at that gig where my 400+ went down, the rest of the band said they preferred the sound of the Nano 300. It’s still got the box. It comes with a power lead too. There’s a few scratches on the bottom that it must’ve picked up from other things in the bag but it’s just cosmetic. I think it’s a good price for a private sale versus what’s out there through the trade. No trades, thanks. Postage will probably be about £5. If you want to come and try it, I’m in Gloucester. The MB website says: The NANO MARK 300 once again raises the bar for bass amp heads. Our smallest amp is not a toy—it gives you the Markbass tone in the most portable package possible easy to transport everywhere, featuringsimple and effective controls and yet it gives you all thevolume you need for most gigs. It's a professional-grade amplifier you need to hear to believe such powerful sound can be delivered by such a small and lightweight package! In fact, our lightest and smallest head only weights 3.20 lbs / 1.45 kgand has an unbelievable power-to-weight ratio, with its 300W of power in a very small and ultra-lightweight package. Many competitors was inspired by Markbass amps manufacturing small amps too but in our case small doesn't mean "poor performance", on the contrary with the Nano Mark 300 not only you can take this ultra-little ampeverywhere, but you don’t have to sacrifice the warm and rich Markbass tone!Markbass products are known for their clarity and loyalty to the source of sound. People often use words like warm, punchy, clear, honest, accurate- even aggressive to describe Markbass. They also say that Markbass amps allow them to sound like themselves!
  24. Went on the bay. I'm disappointed that it didn't sell here but hey ho. New stuff up for sale tomorrow...
  25. I refer back to my original response. They're also relatively easy to re-sell.
