1.
I'd be onto 2 CN112 cabs in a flash if they came up for sale.
You need an amp that thrived on 2 ohms if you ran em both.

3. I like what you've done with it, sounds very natural to me. You can almost hear your patience in it, I know from recordings I've been involved with that if you rush stuff and don't pay attention to detail you can hear it later and it leaves you wishing you'd done it right - that might be BS but it makes sense to me. All's good cheers. I think I'm slowly evolving into you as far as rigs go; I was at Matamp on Saturday and can definitely feel a GT200 in my future; I still love this 400+, though. I am hankering after a big big cab too. There's something magical about meeting the guys who build the stuff and spending time with them and the supporting British craftsmen thing is pretty special when the gear is so good. Jeff is a gem.
4. I really like it and it's a great follow up to the previous album. I remember the guys (Tim, Steve and the drummer, sorry can't remember his name) in Indifference years before Argonaut and I think what differentiates them from a lot of bands in this genre (I really don't like using that word) is that they are genuinely passionate about the music they make and care about what it sounds like and that it represents them and not that they are in a band cos it's cool. They don't rush at it and take the time to get it sounding really good, or at least that's the impression I get from listening. I have Frustnation and Bridges of Blood (from the first album) on a playlist I use for when I'm driving back from gigs late at night. If you get the chance to see Argonaut live, go. I haven't seen the guys play for a few years but I ought to make the effort soon enough. Corking stuff, Tim. Well crafted. [my longest post for years] :-)
5. :-D I've got Amsterdam x2 , Milan, Trieste, Berlin, Stockholm, Oslo, MK, Leeds. All on my motorcycle so unless I have a massive windfall...
6. Awesome. Jeff is a bass hero of mine and PJ my favourite band ever. If I wasn't spending all my cash on going to 9 of their shows this year, I'd be all over this. Good luck with the sale :-)
7. Awesome pickups and make so much sense when married to a big valve amp.
8. Sold Paul a magazine. Nice easy deal. :-)
9. Rob bought some strings from me. Great bloke, easy transaction.
10. I've just found some more! Issues 6, 33, 35 - 65, 76, 79, 84, 87 (some are duplicates). Some are still in their wrapper, all are in very good condition and have come from a smoke-free home (unless you count the occasional toast-burning on a Saturday morning) Collection from Gloucester only. Donation to Basschat recommended. The words "gifthorse" and "mouth" apply.
11. I love it when there's "an old character" or know-it-all at a gig. We were playing Pen-y-Graig Labour Club one night and after the first set ended with Walking on Sunshine, this geezer came up to me and told me I was the best lead guitarist he'd ever seen, "and I've seen 'em all", he said. He also complemented me on my beautiful "lead guitar", which was a Spector NS5 and told me I didn't need "one of those whammy bar thingys" to sound good. The advice about just being polite and dashing off to busy yourself is solid. You just don't know who they or their friends are.
12. Here we go... My Bergantino AE210s up for sale. Proper Berg covers included. Collection from Gloucester preferred. Try before you buy if you want. Hit me up.

feedback for etienne

I just bought a proper man's bass cab from Etienne and it's fabulous. Etienne's a Great bloke - he's already got top feedback, you don't need to take it from me alone ;-) This cab is gonna be married to my ex-Beedster 400+ And will be aired at rehearsal on Sunday. Another proper Basschatter and another great deal. eBay-type feedback: five stars, great seller, would recommend. Traffic was a nightmare going home but the creamy sounds made it all worth while. Have a great NYE gig ;-)
15. Hi Could you post the HxWxD dimensions and give an idea of the weight, please? :-) Thanks Sean
16. The bodies have a different contour and a different paint job and also the wood isn't as two or three piece. The pickup and preamp can be transplanted and sorted but there are differences. I bet there are loads of Subs that are better than Stingrays and vice versa. For me, it was the Sterling that made most sense. Then I ditched it and made a Yamaha BB into a ceramic MM monster with an East pre-amp. Whatever, subs are great value and easily modified.
17.
I voted for not giving a monkeys if people want to buy a Barefaced or whatever it may be it is there choice so it has nothing to do with anyone else anyway
Vote? What vote? What are you on about?
18. I reckon a couple of those Big Twins with the tweeter and mid-driver would go down a treat for me. Might have to get another 400+ to go with 'em. Seriously.
19.
The more I think about this....... Cockups and equipment failure, fair enough. Lying to a customer about what they were doing with his legal property, property that he had every right to expect was being legitimately repaired under warranty but which was in fact being repaired by someone who may not only invalidate that warranty but - if the fret story is anything to go by - could leave an unsafe piece of electrical equipment....... It's a job for Luca if you ask me. Again, name and shame
Beedster, Luca Brazzi and retribution. Threads don't get much better :-)
20. I'm glad it's sorted. I had an SR five string top ender about 7 years ago that had issues (can't remember what exactly) and that was refunded and collected by the retailer with no hassle.
21.
Looking for 4 ohms. Thanks anyway
They are 4 ohms when run together as a pair.
22. Chris! Is this 69er a vampire? Not even Alex has a photo of it! You know I'm smitten... Show me... Show me... Hope you and the family are tickety boo :-)
23. Can't believe these are still here. They're 18kg! That's featherweight for a 2x10.
