  1. Dead End Street - The Kinks
  2. I played my first live gig in 1968, and I'm still playing live gigs. The final paragraph in Bassbiscuits' post above says it all.
  3. Too many knobs, switches and sockets for me BUT................. the neck, body, black scratchplate and pyro'd tree combination is stunning.
  4. A couple of lesser known solos from John Entwistle The Ox and Meatloaf The Ox and The 'ooooo
  5. +1 Only dealt with Real Electronics once (Carry Handle for a MarkBass CMD121). Excellent service and very quick delivery from courteous and knowledgeable people.
  6. The Devil Went Down To Georgia - Charlie Daniels Band
  7. Nothing really gets me wound-up but my own thoughts on Jason Karloff's list are: 1: Fender's Sunburst. I have no problem with this at all. 2. Fender Multi Stringed Instruments. I'm a convert to the "Stick with the four string thing", (From a personal perspective, I'm not so sure about the "You are good at it" bit though !). I went back to 4 string Basses about 4 years ago, I tried my 5 string Bass at a recent rehearsal and decided fairly quickly that I preferred the sound and feel of a 4-string Bass. 3. People calling pick ups "pups". Agree 100% with the OP, they're 'Pick-Ups' 4. 99% of all top end basses for sale in Mainland Europe. Agree 100% with the OP, especially in terms of visual aesthetics. I find most of the 'Boutique' basses extremely ugly - in particular Single Cut basses. Some of the woods and finishes are stunning but, the geometries of some designer guitar bodies are just wrong. I have no problem with painted bodies. 5. Wood Pickups. Agree 100% with the OP, they don't do anything for me. 6. Fret Dots. I'd be lost without them ! ! My deal breaker would be ................. Coloured Headstock - just looks wrong to me.
  8. Bought a Rickenbacker 4000 Thumbrest from Clarky - product exactly as described, great communications and very quick delivery. Smooth transaction, thanks Clarky.

  13. Russ was point of contact for the sale of my Epiphone DOT - a thoroughly nice fella with a great sense of humour. Thanks amigo and take it easy. Chris
  14. Things that you've learned from gigging... that you feel should be passed on. In addition to the practical replies above - I have the following 'aide- memoire' handwritten at the top of my set list. There Is An Audience Out There. These People Have Made The Effort To Come And See/Hear You. Be Conscious Of Them And Treat Them With Respect.
  15. Searched the Feedback Forum for Stingray64 - no results found so here we go. Just completed a deal for a Yamaha Sessioncake SC-01 and Sony headphones with Joe (Stingray64). Excellent communications and prompt payment - no problems with this transaction. Thanks Joe and take it easy. Chris
  16. Hmmm, warm beer is ok but hot beer is not. Bitter, Stout, some Ciders and Red Wine are best served and imbibed at room temperature. Lager (preferably San Miguel or Becks), White and Rose wines are ok when chilled. Cheers. Chris
