Of course, yours would be worth more than this. I was considering a 4 month old Fender Mark Hoppus on ebaY. It failed to sell at £310. So, all ends up, I reckon yours is somewhere between £100 for the OLP MM2 and £470 for a good Musicman Stingray. Tricky, really... I'd like to speak to Jim Cairns just to get the history of your bass - I'll try to contact him tomorrow. In the meantime, I'd like to offer you £275 with a gigbag. Looks a real bargain to me. Anybody have any experience of this supplier, please? Do you still have to pay any import duties on top of this price - I'm not sure, given that it's within the EU. Steve

This bass is a belter. I had the pleasure of playing it last week and the only reason I didn't buy it was I already have a damn good P-Bass. Bassbunny has done a marvellous job - the bass really is "as new" condition. It has a lovely low action and smooth neck, giving it great playability. The tone emphasises the mid-range a little more than the bottom end so it cuts through the mix a little better. The overall quality is excellent - nothing cheap or bargain-bucket here. I was sorely tempted. I have a Tokai Hardpuncher and I'd say the quality and playability of Bassbunny's bass is pretty much on par with it. And that was the problem - his bass was too close to the one I have to make it a sensible buy - BB's is that good. For the money, BB's bass has to be a complete steal, I reckon. Having played BB's bass, I now realise what I want next - a P-bass with a J-sound. See my posting under the general "Basses" thread. Also, I'm still looking for jam-mates - see my posting under "Bass players wanted/available" Thread. Sorry to drift towards selfishness there. In case you're wondering, last week was the first time I'd ever met BB. He was so friendly and helpful, and I would have no hesitation buying from him. Have a well-deserved bump, BB

Following Musemat's suggestion, I looked on the back of the headstock. Small sticker there reads BB404. Also, there's a serial number stamped on the rear of the headstock: QKX219066 - hadn't even noticed that before. Perhaps you'll be able to refer to a Yamaha website for further information - I've had a quick look for such a site, but can't find one for bass guitars. Now then, recording the bass. Not sure how I can do that, to be honest - I'm not especially talented in the IT department. I am on Skype though, and would be more than happy to use my laptop + built in camera to show you what the Yamaha can do (if you excuse my ropey playing, of course). Pm me for my Skype contact details if you think this might work. I have to say that I've had what seems to be a fairly serious enquiry for the bass, and we're sorting out courier costs for final agreement. But, I'm eyeing up a replacement, and I'm not allowed to have any more than 2 basses. I'm open to trades - looking for a good P-bass...(or a good J-Bass with a P neck)
