1. Also open to trades.. Straplocks/wide strap, padded gig bag etc. Just drop me a message
2. I'm 25, work full time and when I'm not working, I'm a carer for my disabled mum. Don't really sleep that much either, so I average an hour or two of practice per day, sometimes less, sometimes more. Always try to do at least 20 mins to a click though (per session). Recently, I've had my hours cut in work, so thats afforded me a bit more time, so I've joined a new band.. Seems to be going well so far, and the drummist is one of the tighter ones I've jammed with, so that helps too lol :-P Mark
3. Bump - edited for price including postage. Collection/meet is also welcome (will knock £5 off if so)
4. Schism- Tool... That lines been stuck in my head for days now
5.
That's got me into so much trouble over the years...
+1 couldn't have put it better myself bud. As for soloing/ad libbing etc... I just try not to make myself look like a dick tbh! Got a few raised eyebrows at a jam last week, seemed to enjoy though. Should be fun for the soundcheck jam for the gig in a few weeks =)
6. Shall try my best! Date sounds worryingly familiar though for some reason..
7. As title, I have an 18" Malachy Kearns traditional Bodhrán which is going un-used. Been hanging on my wall for a few years, so I thought I'd offer it up sale. Irish Beech frame and crossbrace Goatskin drum head (glued and tacked to frame) Includes Beech (I think?!) beater/tipper Skin needs waxing, however I don't have any (in hindsight, I should have bought some when I got it) Still has original hangtag and stickers on inside of frame - see pics £50 posted in UK only. Pics - Http://s1358.photobucket.com/albums/q762/MarkWJenkins/Malachy%20Kearns%20Bodhr_n/ Cheers! Mark J
8. Voted yes, but in the same camp as a few others really. My P-bass gets used the most, but I do bring the 6 out now and again with the metal band. Depends what the songs need really, sometimes its nice to have the lower end (my 6 is tuned GBEADG) for when the guitards decide to go off on one!
9. The Masons in Llanelli, South Wales is a cracking little rock/metal venue.. Not that big, but always a crowd! PM me if you want contact details, its also my local hahaa!!
10. New strings and fresh batteries installed. Will fit a set of schaller straplocks also
11. Edited - new price, plus shipping options if buyer arranges courier. Would prefer collection however
12. Neil Peart/Geddy Lee John Myung/Mike Portnoy Steve Harris/Nicko Ryan Martinie/Matthew McDonough To start with... More will come to me =)
13.
Good luck with the sale! Those Grinds are really something
Cheers mate. They really are fantastic basses, was very surprised tbh
14. Traded off site, please remove. Cheers. Mark j
15. Yes. What a groove!
16. When I first heard Steve Harris playing on one of my parents old Maiden records (cannot for the life of me remember which though!) when I was about 10 years old, I knew I wanted to play bass, it just resonated with me for some unknown reason (even though I had no clue what a bass guitar was at that time). After convincing my parents to buy me a bass for christmas not long after that moment, my journey began. Still don't like Precisions though for some reason haha!
17. Vocals - Russell Allen Guitar - Tony McAlpine Keyboards - Derek Sherinian Drums - Vinnie Paul
18. Started on guitar, but borrowed a bass from a friend to have a go... Been hooked since really. For nearly 14 years, the low end has been my mistress and I wouldn't change a thing. Still dabble on acoustic now and again, open mics and stuff like that, but my heart beats for bass.
19. Where I'm based (excuse the obvious pun to begin with), in Llanelli/Carmarthenshire area in South Wales, theres a LOT of guitarists and bassists, but very few drummers available. Have been tempted to try and learn drums as a backup plan, but I always return to bass (or guitar if desperate) I'm guessing its different situations around the country though. Had a fantastic drummer for one of my stoner/doom metal bands, but as he and his wife have just had their first child, he stepped down a few weeks ago - completely fair enough tbh as its a stressful time (as many folks on here know!)
