I've recently been offered endorsements by a couple of companies and I've been sent PDFs filled with all the requirements that the companies require of me and what they promise to do etc. am i over reacting or am i right in feeling a little pressured? i think i have to just keep reminding myself that its cheap sh*t! i know people on here have had endorsements in the past and i've always dreamed of having one... does anyone have any horror stories? thanks, Matt
Good sound, tiny stage.
yeah, the sound was amazing! it would have been better had we turned up to soundcheck!
I live just around the corner from that venue yet ive not been there for years. It always seemed to be very crowded on a Friday night. We used to go and see the house band after the strippers pubs. Oh to be young again.
yeah, there was actually a queue outside by the time we finished playing, there was a clubnight on after the gig so it was a nightmare loading out!

played the Old Blue Last, london on thursday last week. it was packed because we were supporting a band which featured members of big bands. in the photo it looks pretty empty but that was because i was on the floor because the other bands refused to move their stuff to the side for me. the crowd was to the left and stage to the right. we were horrendously late (turned up when we were meant to be on stage) and in the process of loading in my amp got wet and is now broken. I had to borrow a trace elliot, good god it sounded disgusting. but still a good gig which we've had a lot of good feedback from.

Hunting For Witches (Bloc Party Cover)
matt_citizenbass replied to matt_citizenbass's topic in Recording
the whole point of the cover was to have a bit of fun. We covered the song in the style we play. there is no guitar in it. just bass and drums. my drummer, doesn't have a practice space or a metronome. He didn't even play on this recording, i did. Like i said i did it in a massive rush. Sure it's kinda sloppy but i'm not fussed it all adds to the lo fi character of it. and yes it was released on tape. It sold out in less than 24 hours. -
this was recorded in my kitchen for a tape release. HUNTING FOR WITCHES COVER DOWNLOAD it's a cover of Bloc Party's "Hunting For Witches" i apologise for the ridiculously loud hi hats, i mixed it in a massive hurry as i recorded it all the day the tape went to be pressed. hope you like it

from friday: i made the massive mistake of taking my shoes off... i spent alot of time on my knees trying to get back up.
-
played an awesome gig in camden @ the fiddler's elbow on friday night. i wouldn't recommend the venue though, the owner completly screwed over the promoter so the band after consequently went and trashed the place! it was amazing they were swinging off lights and throwing chairs and stuff the singer had the bouncer and the owner following him around for the whole set ! our set was good, besides an epic fail where my pedals cut out in between songs and i couldn't get them working for ages but then they just started working again. It was a little embarassing as we were playing to a crowd of people including our label and our ex manager and various bands we love so we felt we didn't impress enough
-
i've haven't fainted but quite often during the last song i'll be red in the face and not even wanting to play anymore. i've thrown up straight after gigs a few too many times...
i have to be honest. i dont know what this means
http://www.fmylife.com/ you can figure what the F stands for the guitar tones on you fail me (particurarly the actual song) are intense.
