3. Hey I have an orange bass terror 500 and I'm thinking about changing the tubes to make it sound better as the ones that are in it are cheap Chinese 12AX7 tubes. I know next to nothing about tubes, so with that in mind does anyone know anything about bass amp tubes?? what ones I should get?. Any comments are welcome as again i know 0 about tubes. Thanks
4. Looking to possibly sell or swap my Ampeg PF-410HLF Looking for something with more of a punch Possibly an orange cab to match my head. Thanks details http://www.ampeg.com/products/portaflex/pf-410hlf/index.html

7. hey man really interested in this! ill drop you a mail
8. I have my OTB set up with a 410 LHF portaflex cab, which makes it relatively easy to get around. the head sounds immense through this cab and packs a serious punch. pushes out a serious amount of attack and suites me down to the ground as i play mostly punk/hardcore/metal and does the job in my band. I put an OD3 Boss pedal in front of it too get some serious crunch. with the HF horn at the mid setting point the cab and amp sound soo soo good. could not be happier!
9.
Get a Precision for the weekend type bump.
Suuuuuch a nice bass Absolutely LOVE IT! If i wasn't buying the Cab id be alll over this. Hopefully work alot of Overtime and get this bad boy of a bass.
10.
In terms of "better" the SVT 410HLF should be better than the B 410HLF, as it is a higher range cab from the same maker. Whether or not it is better than the Hartke Hydrive is more personal taste. It will be both bigger and heavier than both, however. It`s really dependent on the sound you want from your rig. Paired with an OTB, all 3 cabs will be loud enough for your needs - unless you`re playing The O2 - so it`s down to personal preference. I`d look at bassists whose sound you like as a point of reference. Punchy tight sounds, or thick warm sounds. From this, you should get a direction of which cab suits best.
Thanks man 1 i think im going to go with the Ampeg B-LHF410. i Like my bass to have a good distorted/overdriven high end but still have a good fat warm sound. Basically i like to be parallel with the guitar so the bass is right at the front. Plus i play in a hardcore band and theres alot of lead bass parts. thanks again
11. Thanks folks over all though if i could get a SVT HLF do you think that will be better than both cabs in question??

14. I have having a bit of trouble in regards as to what bass cob to get. As none of the music in any reasonable distance heas either im having to go on reviews only for the cabs. I will be running an Orange Bass Terror 500 head through whatever one I end up buying. I keep hearing really mixed reviews from either cab and I'm just wondering if anyone out there has any experience with either of them that could help me make a decision. thanks!
