I've not played anything as light as my Ibanez SR1000, I never take my Jazz to 2hr practices anymore, just the occasional short gig, the difference is huge.

Thin Lizzy - Dancing In The Moonlight ? The opening few bars are melodic enough to show what you can do, then a nice rhythm in the verses. And it's pretty easy to play!

Hi Tom - the one in the picture isn't, but the one I'm selling was yours, yes! I've loved playing it since I bought it from you, and if it wasn't for the Ibanez the only thing I'd have sold it for would have been a Spector Euro, i'm a sucker for slim necks and curved bodies!

A few years ago, I bought a Spector Legend and loved it, but it didn't suit my band at the time, so I sold it. Always regretted it, so ended up buying another one last year, gigged it a few times, and still love it, but I recently bought the Ibanez SR Prestige and unfortunately I'm only allowed two basses (which is still one more than I ever play at one time apparently!) and I'll never sell the Jazz so this has to go. £180 including Fender Deluxe gig bag. Collection from West Midlands preferred. I get about a bit with work, but don't know where or when I'll next be on my travels. Designed for us by EMG, these have a little more midrange than EMG-HZ passive humbuckers. • Active Tone Controls: Spector TonePump Jr.™, boost only, bass and treble • Two volume controls • Finishes: Black Cherry, Holoflash Black, Natural, Slate Grey • Width at nut 1.56", String Spacing at bridge .75", Fingerboard radius 16" • Allen Wrench Sizes: Bridge 2mm, Truss Rod 4mm Edit: Pics added. Tried to show all minor marks, not many and they don't show up on camera really. The only major one is the scratch on the underside of the neck, but I never noticed it while playing.

Although my first ever bass was an old SR300, I didn't really know what I was looking for, and spent the next 10yrs going through various Fenders, Warwicks, etc trying to find the right bass for me. I was looking for a decent Spector, buy the Ibanez ticked all the boxes I wanted, plus more. Looks great, sounds great, feels great, and didn't cost the earth!

Wanted one of these as a backup to my Jazz ever since BGM reviewed them when the new shape was released, it's a lot of bass for £200! Have no need for it since I bought the Prestige, but have a bump!

Strange that it doesn't say Ibanez anywhere visible on the amp or cab! Noticed the same thing with a few of their basses.

Is that the American Deluxe P? There's a thread somewhere with the new ones, that don't have the fat humbucker at the bridge, but I always liked the look of these.

I like the idea, and for jamming with random people would be quite good, but for long-distance practising with your band could get pretty expensive!!

Squier used to do a Precision Special in metallic purple, that was my second bass, think I paid about £180 for it new, so not much of an upgrade from what you've got. I'd recommend those Peaveys though, I played a mates, great sound.

Not been there since it was Main Street years ago, but I've had family and friends live in Newport. Didn't know they'd ever had bands there! Must be going up-market!

Yeah if you can, get a Rebop, the build quality will be better, and usually have the nice block inlays rather than the dots. But saying that, if you can pick up a second hand Legend as I did for around £200, they're an absolute bargain seeing as they're around £500 new now. I do prefer the EMG BTS preamp that was in the NS2000, but the Legend still sounds fantastic.
