1. I love mine. I bought one a few years ago for £330 from Sound Control, but it didn't suit my band. Of course, that band split and I regretted selling it, so I bought another. Good build quality, plenty of tonal variation from the Tone Pump Jr EQ and passive EMG pickups. The older versions come with EMG-HZs, and the newer ones have EMG-SSDs, which have a bit more mid-range. I've got some recent recordings using it, if you PM me your email address I'll send you some. So a great bass, with the most comfortable body shape ever designed. But would I buy one new since the price hike? No. Look for second-hand Rebop instead, better build quality and hardware (but same pickups). Search the For Sale forum to find Josh's (and stop me from buying it! ), cheaper than a new Legend.
2. Thru-neck, active EQ, high neck access, looks good! Never played an ESP bass, but the ESP LTD guitars I've played have all been quality.
3. It pains me to see this sitting here unsold while I've got the cash in the bank. Someone buy it quick so I can stop having arguments at home!!!
4. The Riot Before - 5 to 9. I'm have a punk day!
5. A few years ago I took my old Trace AH-300 to Sound Services on Tan Bank in Wellington after my guitarist fried it. They did a good job, and didn't cost much. A few friends have used them in the past too, never heard any complaints about them.
6.
I think it's one of those basslines that was written & recorded on a synth, which might explain why I'm having particular trouble with it?
Must be, aren't Keane just drums, keyboard and vocals?
7. My first rig (Trace AH300, Peavey 410 and 115) I bought from my drummer's old bassist for the bargain price of £300, but after that, everything has been bought blind, but with reviews from people on here. GK 1001RB-II and GK Neo 212 were a great buy, always regret having to sell them, then I bought some second-hand gear blind, which served it's purpose, then the current TecAmp rig, based on people's praise of the old Tech gear. This one's definitely a keeper!
8. Gutted, a Euro Spector I've got the cash for, and the other half says no Good luck with the sale Josh, this one shouldn't hang around long!
9. Legend. Saw him a few years back with All, great player!

Neck taper

You mean there are different kinds of country!? It's not something I'd normally listen to to be honest, but I'm enjoying playing in the band, very different to what I've done previously. There's three recent recordings up on our myspace though - http://www.myspace.com/liberationworksuk

Neck taper

Something I thought about this week, is in my old punk band, I loved playing my Jazz, always really comfortable, but in my current (country) band, where I often play higher up the neck, I often get hand cramps during a gig, so I've taken to playing my Spector, which is much more comfortable higher up the neck. So i just compared the necks, and although the Jazz is slightly narrower at the nut, it's much wider at the end of the neck, where as the Spector is only slightly wider than it is at the nut. I guess that's why I prefer it when I'm playing higher up. So... is this a common thing? I assume it is on all Fender-types? Are there basses with no taper at all? Not that there's much on the Spector, and I'm happy playing it, I'd just like to try out a couple of others and see what I might find more comfortable during a gig.
12. I tried one out a few years ago when I bought my first Legend. Nice slim neck (I played a 4 though), nice tones, good quality. I think they were about £400 at the time but Spector had a price hike last year.
13. Great bass! Only reason I sold mine was I preferred the NS body shape, but definitely preferred the EMG circuit these come with to the Tone Pump that the Legends get.
14.
Tell her it's a minor cash flow problem. I seem to remember using this when I bought it.
Unfortunately it's a major cash flow problem otherwise I would have done!
15.
Yeah it's alright, obviously takes a lot of getting use to but the Bass VI isn't really designed to just be a bass so it's good your hitting other strings, just play everything with a 5th added
Cool, I want something I can play bass on, but then add some nice chords underneath the guitar. Seems ideal.
16. I really want one of those. How well does it play as a bass, with the narrow string spacing? Easy to get used to?
17. I sent a bass to Greece a while back, pretty sure I used Interparcel, and it definitely didn't cost anything like that. Think it was about £50.
18.
It's a sandberg. Looks like it was made specially for them - don't speak german, so I could be wrong!
PMT in Birmingham have got one too. Apparently something went wrong with the CNC and they were left with a bunch of necks that were too narrow, so they made these.
19. Hm, it put a double http:// on there for some reason and then won't find it when you remove it. A search for SWR brings it up anyway - ending in 10mins. The tuner isn't on ebay - I've only used it a couple of times and racked it as soon as I got it, but I can provide pics at the weekend (working away at the moment).
20. Sounds like you need a TecAmp S212. Small footprint, big sound. Love mine, and for once I can say - this one's a keeper!!

22. That is my ideal bass. Unfortunately, it's not at my other half's ideal price. They never are!
23. My Spector neck feels thinner than my Jazz. I use the Spector for my country band and my Jazz for my punk band, but I do think something other than the Spector would suit better, just can't find anything that feels as good.
24. Sorry, sold this one six months ago elsewhere, forgot it was on here to update the post.
25.
Do you ever get out to Oxford?
No, sorry, London occasionally but not over that way. Wouldn't be a problem to post it though.
