1. Placebo supported by dEUS, 1997, Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall. Soon followed by Green Day and The Offspring, in venues that aren't big enough for their backstage area these days.
2. Anyone heard of Brubaker? Just seen these two on ebay, edging into US Fender pricing. 3. Amp sold, SWR Triad, 3U rack and tuner still available. Working away this week and half of next week, after that I'll put them on ebay if there's no interest.
4. I haven't really listened to them since Yield, but The Fixer is a great tune, and their new one is growing on me. Definitely a decent player, but I always listened to Stone more on the early stuff, but I was a teen when I first got into them.
5. Looks like an SX neck?
6. HD500 sold pending the usual Cab, rack and tuner still available!
7. How about this electri base guiter? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/electri-base-guiter_...=item3a54c7f30c
8. Got to suggest the TecAmp Puma after my recent purchase, weighs less than my laptop, is smaller than my Xbox, and produces better tone than almost anything I've had (GK 1001-RB excluded).
9. Going on ebay next week!
10. [SOLD]
11. I'm selling my Musicman HD500 if you're interested, made by MarkBass in Italy and is essentially a TA503 without the yellow. 500w solid state with tube preamp.
12. I think 4ft Fingers worked in Pizza Hut while they weren't touring, but yeah, part time jobs I'm afraid!
13. Jazz, Ibanez Soundgear, all good. I find the Spector Legend the most comfortable neck for me, about as narrow as the Jazz, but doesn't taper up the neck, and a little bit deeper. Seem to remember playing a cheaper Warwick that was similar but can't remember what it was.

Finally got to take my Puma 350 and S212 to band practice last night - I had to turn it down! So much louder than my other rig. No hiss, although the fan does have a high-pitch whirring when it kicks in, not really a problem though. Very happy with it!
Does it matter which you plug into?!
Don't know, only tried the left one, but the pic a few posts ago shows it plugged into the right, so I guess not?
I think that's just a way of pointing out that 1- means negative and 1+ means positive. BTW be careful with your GK amp as they can require different connections inside the Speakon connector to work. I would suggest you PM OBBM to find out what's what on that subject as I'm not 100% on that.
Not got the GK anymore unfortunately, but that was a 2-/2+ if I remember rightly. Thanks!
Inside the Speakon connectors there are terminals for the wire to be clamped into. They are labelled 1+ and 1- in the 2 pole version and 1+, 1-, 2+ and 2- in the 4 pole version. For the setup pictured above it's saying that 1+ and 1- need to be the same core of cable at each end, i.e. the red wire will be clamped into the 1+ socket in each connector end and the black wire will be the 1- at each connector end. Hope that makes sense?
Ok, that makes sense, thanks. So what's with the "1- = -" and "1+ = +" on the cab?

Leading on from the above, can someone explain the 1- / 1+ stuff? I haven't had chance to play mine again yet, worked fine so I must have plugged it in right, but the only speakon connector I had before was with my GK rig, which had it's own speakon cable for the bi-amping so never looked into how they're wired.
18. Much better looking! If it's still the same price I can see it selling well.
19. Is it the Deluxe Active P? My Deluxe Active Jazz is really well made, no noise (that'll be the noiseless pickups then). It's only downsides were the bent tin bridge (now replaced) and the back pickup is really weak sounding, not sure whether it's the pickup or the pre but I've never bothered sorting it because I'm happy with the tone I get off the neck p-up.
20. Wouldn't a 2U rack bag do the job for that?
21. Playing the Astoria 2 (/Mean Fiddler) to about 1000 people, and releasing an album in Australia distributed by Sony BMG - it was nice to see a major label's logo on our album we recorded in 4 days for £1000
Have you guys had the same experience with the fan etc ?
Still haven't had chance to play it loud, but that's exactly how my old GK 1001RB-II was, the fan would turn on briefly after power-up, then would barely be on at all, even through a two hour practice, just came on occasionally if it was needed, and the amp was still cool at the end. I guess it's the same for these.
23. Two more evenings to go until I can play through my Puma 350 and S212 at real volume, can't wait
24. If I'm distorting then my amp is broken. Not to say I don't like distortion on bass, I really do, just that my band's sound doesn't call for it. In a rock/metal band a touch of distortion adds a really nice sound!

Thanks again Mark! Really happy with my Puma 350 and S212, build quality is excellent, and I can't believe how light they are. Haven't had chance to play it loud yet, but at practice volumes the tone is great, plenty of bass, nice smooth treble, can't wait to gig with it!
