I haven't played my Puma 350 and S212 at gig volume yet, but I haven't heard any hiss when practising through it! Should get to try gig volume on Thursday so we'll see.

Yep, already had orders to clear some space! ...not to mention the credit card!
3. I'm the same, I usually leave the same CD on in the car for about a week and give it a proper listen. At home, it's usually the iPod, which is usually ripped from CD as I rarely buy MP3s (I don't like paying for something that could be deleted or lost to a dead harddrive). In the office however, I love Last.fm, Spofity, We7... just for the random selections as background noise.
4.
and exactly the music I'd like to play, (Alkaline Trio, Jimmy Eat World, Samiam as their influences). Then they sent the tracks....wow.
Got any links? That sounds exactly like the kind of music I listen to!

4ohms. Think this will be the last time I ever change amps!

What a little beast! The 350w Puma and S212 are way louder than my HD500 and Triad, and stupidly light! So many useable tones from the amp, normally I'm not a fan of boosted mids but this brings out a perfect tone, especially with a little tweak of the taste control. Looking forward to trying it out with the band! Got a pic but can't upload it direct from my phone

My Puma and S212 just arrived!!! ...unfortunately I won't be home from work until 6:30 to give it a blast
8. Don't discount the Spector Rebop if you're looking at a bolt-on Streamer shape. I'm a Fender player, have been for years, but kept coming back to the Spector NS2 shape (even tried a Rock Bass Steamer but that didn't cut it). Can't afford a Euro or proper Streamer because I'll never sell my Fender, but the Spector Legend did the job nicely, and I played my first gig with it this week. So much smaller and lighter than what I'm used to, but I actually enjoyed the gig more, because I could move around more easily, and I actually had a better tone too!
ah thanks, i'm in Leamington Spa. what cab(s) you planning to use the puma 350 with?
I ordered the S212 too. I'm going to take it to my next practice along with current amp and try both amps through the S212 - if the Puma is loud enough I'll keep it purely because of the weight, if not I'll stick with my HD500 and sell the Puma. Hoping the Puma does the job though!

Where abouts in the West Midlands are you? My Puma 350 will be arriving tomorrow if you want to try it out sometime.

Damn, I wanted the M212 to sit my rack on properly. Oh well, got the Puma on the way now!

I ordered a Puma as well, couldn't resist at that price, a £1568 rig for £698 that weighs next to nothing. Can't wait for Friday's gig now!

Looks like two of them have - they were out of stock earlier, now there's two.

Sold out of 2x12s, 4x10s and the 2x12 combo. Tempted to buy the Puma before anyone else reads this thread tomorrow!

If you plug it into an 8ohm cab, it'll output 270w, if you plug it into a 4ohm cab (or two 8ohm cabs) it'll output 350w

Yeah my confirmation email says S212 - I would prefer the M, but either way, a lightweight 2x12 that handles up to 600w is exactly what I need!
Have to ask, anyone tempted by the Bad Bull and a pair of 8x10s?
That would be amazing! £2700 off RRP for an all-valve amp, they won't last long!

Bought myself an M212 too! Was tempted by the Puma to go with it, but I really can't afford it. Even at that price! Looking forward to this weekend's gig now!!
19. Looks so much better without the yellow!
20.
£450 is alot for 1x15 bass cab.
Not really, just depends what you're comparing them to, of course a Peavey or Ashdown MAG are going to be much cheaper, but just a quick search online and I can see EBS is £649, Mark Bass is £695, Aguilar is £599, etc.
21. This thread makes me want one... DIMENSIONS 25.5" high x 19.5" wide x 13.5" deep WEIGHT 32 lbs SENSITIVITY Similar to many 2x12" cabs FREQUENCY RESPONSE Similar to the classic sealed 8x10" fridge RECOMMENDED AMP POWER 100 - 500W RMS MAXIMUM OUTPUT Similar to a quality 2x12" or 3x10" cabinet NOMINAL IMPEDANCE 8 ohms PRICE £450
22. Edit due to sale of amp: SWR Triad - £300 It's a slightly older model (possibly mark 2?), without the speak-ons that the current model has, but otherwise looks the same (ie it has a silver grill, not the old black one) and has an SWR cover. SWR say... A two-chamber, true three-way cabinet that provides full range, uncolored, exacting, highly accurate tone. Offering the best of all worlds, this cab is loaded with a custom SWR 15-inch driver, 10-inch driver, and high-frequency tweeter, and each is crossed over at the optimum point, making it extra sweet across the full-frequency spectrum. Simply put, the Triad does the hard work of properly separating frequencies into specific drivers for you. Best used either by itself, or in combination with another Triad. Features: Three-way full-range enclosure (1x15 + 1x10 + tweeter), 400 watts handling, custom SWR speakers, horn tweeter with attenuator, dual [s]Speakon and[/s] 1/4” speaker jacks, side spring-loaded handles, vibration-free shock-mounted chrome grill, front slot port. Impedance: 4 ohms. 23”W x 27”H x 18.5”D, 80 lbs. Korg DT-1 Pro - £50 Stagg 3U rack bag - £20 All items to be collected, or courier at buyer's expense. Will to meet halfway with the cab within reason.
23. It's not GSR - G is Gio, the budget Ibanez range. It's a SoundGear (hence the SDGR on the headstock), but from the front, there's not much else to determine model number - it should be on the back of the headstock though, at the top? I used to have an SDGR 300FL, and that's where it was on that.
24. and If I had those, I'd be pretty much GAS free. Or as GAS free as you can be around here!
25. I've got a Brunswick electro-acoustic guitar, picked it up new for £150 about four years ago, does the job! Decent quality, Shadow pre, sounds nice acoustic and plugged in, definitely wouldn't have an reservations about buying a bass version. I'm sure as with all Chinese made guitars there can be good and bad ones, but for the money I have no problems with them.
