I only use the ODB-3 for a clean boost at the moment so when i do tapping there wont be much of a volume cut. The overdrive sounds ok, but i only used it as a high gain fuzz with everything turned up.

+1 on the dod octoplus. It sounds lush. I find though i dont always want to go lower than the A string with an octave pedal because its kind of pointless. You tend to always loose the sub and all you hear is the note and no beef! However, dudewheresmybass has the right idea with a subharmonic generator. Lots of beef! Also, the Akai deep impact octave down sounds good too.

Also, i had a go at a syb 5 yeasterday and is was not what i expected, i thought it would be better. The man in the shop then revealed to me that the expression pedal makes all the difference so naturally i asked him 'do you have one for me to use?' He said no. What a fool! lol
