1.
Im deciding to sell my bass as my band has split up and wont be playing on it much anymore. Its a natural jazz bass with a couple of modifications, the standard issue pickups being taken out for some active EMG's and the squier logo being replaced by a fender one. The bass is in fantastic condition apart from cross threading of the nut on the truss-rod, but this is easily sorted out. Sounds great and feels lovely but as i say the neck needs a bit of sorting out. This is why im asking for £225 rather than any higher. Would preferably like someone to pick up as it would be alot to post but if postage is required then will do this at extra cost. I live in Caldicot, South Wales, just over the otherside of the severn bridge. PM me with your email address if interested and i will email you some pictures. Thanks! Chris
--------------------------------------------------------- The cross threading could be a major problem if you have stripped the threads on the truss rod --How did it get damaged?
 2.
... and I was under the impression that the CIJ/MIJ was simply a change in title made in a particular year; in other words (and I may have this the wrong way round) you will never see a CIJ after a given year (say 95 for convenience), likewise you'll not find a MIJ pre this same date! 3.
Not that this detracts in anyway from this bass at all but I don't think it's a '57 reissue. I thought '57's were 2 tone sunburst, spaghetti logo and gold anodised pick-guard, this looks more like a very nice 60's reissue. Lovely bass and good luck with the sale, I only mention the 57 thing 'cause i have a real hankering for one if i get back into playing 4 strings again.
Hi -- Yes your right but its an original factory bass, and the neck is marked PB-557 and the Body is PB-562, so its a 59 RI. neck on a 62 RI. body. There have been a few mentions of these on Talkbass Will.
 4.
What's the neck width at the nut and the profile e.g. "C" shape, "D" shape etc...
Hi The width at the nut is 44mm -- Profile is similar to my Japan precisions if thats any help! You are welcome to come and try it out for yourself --No obligation Will.
 5. My lovely Sunburst Fender Made in Japan Precision Bass ( E. serial no. made between 1984 -87 ) is up for sale. It has a Maple fretboard and has a recent set of the excellent Webstring Detroit Flats fitted. Weight is a comfortable 4.2 kg. ( 9.2 lbs ) and it comes with a decent Hard case. Its in very good condition for its age with negligable fret wear. Plays and sounds great with a easy low to medium action. Would prefer buyer to collect ( Leeds very close to Junct. 46 of M1 ) owing to recent bad experiences with postal services, but could meet up if not too far away. Any trial welcome - Not looking for any trades. -
 6.
In the days when I was in a prog band, I used to fill in on some numbers, on the evil 6 stringed thing. I had a stunning sunburst thinline Tele, by Fenix, and it was SUPERBLY made. Good luck with your sale, Karl.
-------------------------------------------- Thanks Karl Our Lead guitarist has a black Fenix Telecaster that he gigs with - Fantastic guitar! I am amazed nobody has snatched this one up --they are a very high quality build, better than most of the MIM Fenders that I have tried! Will.
 7.
Sorry for the hijack, but I'm looking for some flats with lower tension than my current Roto flats - would TI infeld flats fit that category? If not, any other suggestions?
Ti Flats are the lowest tension of all the flats ( I have tried them all ) Will.

I dont think it does anything tho, Maybe balance??? Any one got any ideas? Will.
 12. Excellent quality Fenix ( By Young Chang ) bass in Black -- the build quality of these is on a par with the JV and SQ Squiers ( Come and compare it with mine if you dont believe me ) Has both P-bass and Jazz pickup with 3 way switching. I dont have a case or gig bag for this so its collect only ( or meet up locally ) Very good condition for age - practically no fretwear and no major dings! Plays and sounds great --any trial welcome! 15. The highly acclaimed ( and expensive ) USA hand made Birdsong short scale basses use Lace Sensor Gold guitar pickups on some of their Basses so might be a good option! Will.
 16. Try Basschats own OBBM -- He has a very good reputation for his cables, and if you get in touch with him I am sure he will sort you out at a sensible price! Will.
