13.
I'm just about to part with +/- £600 for one of these: Gibson SG (Short Scale). Hi 7string, Is the Fender Mexican Urge still available? I thought that Fender only did Brinco and Mustang as a short scale! Help before I part with the dosh, I've put a deposit on it last week to pick up this Saturday. Oggy
Hi The Mexican Urge is a Medium scale 32" not short scale! ---I had one until about 12 months ago.
 14.
Landing are one of the few people who seem to make a 32" five string, so I'd be interested what you think of your Landing even though I know its a 30" 4 string.
It is a terrific bass that oozes quality, the workmanship is top class, the finish is like glass and it has a very fast slim neck and of course it sounds good too. I put a set of Ti flats on when I bought it a couple of years ago and it was my main gigging bass until very recently. Its also very light but well balanced. If you are ever in the area you are welcome to try it out, and check the quality for yourself! Will.
 15.
I'm an Ibanez man but I guess I could try something different ........ Looking for suggestions on fairly cheap short-scale basses I could try out. I think I might get on quite well with them but obviously there's only one way to find out! New or 2nd hand, just some ideas on what isn't rubbish that I could give a try.
Hi Im in Leeds and I have a couple of short scale 30" ( Landing L1 and Mustang Hybrid ) and a couple of Medium scales 32" ( Vantage Japan VS series and a Japan Squier P-Bass ) that you are welcome to come and try out! Will.

 19.
So this hasn't happened to me before, but my EBS 212 has a fried crossover and both drivers need replacing. Cost of repair is roughly the same as getting something else a little bit more reliable. So what's the best way of disposing of it? Would anyone be interested in the enclosure? Never had to fully 'dispose' of anything before
Whereabouts are you?
 20.
I have an incomplete set of the Jazz Flats (344 long scale) bass strings. These have been on my bass in the bass but not for very long and have loads of life left in them. Ideal for spares if you use these TI strings! I have the A (.070), D (.056), and G (.043) the E string (.100) is missing. £10 delivered to a UK address
PMed
 21.
I'll have those black Wilkinson tuners I put on that Geddy Will ? cheers Simon
Sorry Simon -- Just noticed this I am keeping all the black hardware for the time being, but you never know! If I decide to sell you will have first dibs on the tuners. Will.

 23.
I'm going to take Beedster's advice and try to lighten my Precision Special. Does anyone know what lighter weight tuners will be a fit without drilling new holes? Been looking at the deluxe tuners with the black back, but don't fancy drilling holes for the locating pins. Any ideas?
I have just put Hipshot Ultralite 1/2" on my Geddy Lee neck and they fit fine, You do have to drill 1 new hole for each tuner but it will be covered up if you put the original tuners back on. Will.
