1. Just bought a shedload of Flatwound Strings from Stuart, great Guy - excellent communication and express delivery. Only problem is I will have to buy some more basses to put them on Regards Will.
 2.
Has anyone used ULTRALIFE lithium batteries? Its claimed they last 5 times longer than normal 9v batts, but I'm sure I heard somewhere that they are marginally larger and might be a bit of a squeeze in some battery compartments
Hi I use Ultralife Lithium. They are slightly larger than standard, but fit in my Urge bass and Yamaha NE-2 pedal with no problem. Regards Will.

 6.
Right guys, I have an EBS 2x10 and 15, which are both rated at 4ohms (which as I know = 2). The problem is my head is a Gallien Krueger 700RB11 which says on the back, you can only run 1x4ohm cab. Is there any way round this without buying a new amp!! Also would I ruin something if I ran them anyway!? Im not amazingly clued up in this dept!! Paul
You could wire them in series to give you 8 ohms. Helpful site here http://colomar.com/Shavano/2x12wiring.html Regards Will.
 7. +1 For Switchcraft every time for Jack Outputs.
 8. (Cool , I may well have to look into the model J's , has the bass response improved since the swap? as the sound on my bass at the moment is a little on the bright side and I am looking for something a bit deeper and with killer punch ) Quote -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes the bottom end is Trouser flapping, but not muddy. Although my Mark Bass LMII and BFM Omni15 cab certainly help matters. You are welcome to come and compare it if you are in the Leeds area. Regards Will.
 9.
Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, I have recently aquired a MIM Fender Urge MX Bass , it has a 2 band eq (bass/treble) which is powered by a 9 volt battery , does this mean that I can use active pickups ? Will the single 9 volt battery provide enough juice for the pickups ? I am currently looking into replacement pickups for this bass and don't want to limit myself to passive pickups if I dont have to.
Hi For what its worth I have just acquired the same model MIM Urge bass and I swopped the original noisy PUPS for my fav. DiMarzio Model Js. ( Passive ) Really pleased with the sound ( and the lack of Hum and Microphony ). Regards Will.

 12.
What are Dr Parts, er, parts like? I considered buying a Tele neck but I've no experience of them. Very nice bass though, good luck with the sale!
The neck is very nice, lovely grain in the Maple and certainly on a par with Mighty Mite etc, It was on the bass when I bought it. Apparently the original Fender neck was damaged. Anybody interested in this is welcome to come and try it out. Will.
 13. [attachmen t=8375:DSCF0518.JPG] Precision Bass - Genuine Fender MIM Body and Electrics with a nicely figured DR PARTS maple neck and dark Rosewood finger board. Bass is in very good condition apart from scratch near neckplate, and 10mm ding on side ( see photos ) + slight discolouring on body near neck. Selling because I am playing Short scale now Bargain price reduced to £175.00 Collected from Leeds ( Or could meet up within reasonable distance ) Would consider P/X for a Baritone Guitar (30" Scale ) or interesting Guitar i.e Yamaha SG. or possibly a LIGHTWEIGHT 15" or 2x10" cab or Short scale Bass Will.
