1. I have for sale a SIX string set of D'Addario Chromes Bass strings. They have come off my 6 string Shuker and have had 7 months of use on them. £20 posted. Payment by Paypal GIFT only please.
  2. I have had great sound from both the Mullards and Brimars. Both are recommended for a bass amp. If you want a less warm, more detailed sound try the American valves or for a very HIFI sound the telefunken is the best but very expensive at around £80. Hope this helps.
  3. I found pickups in the bridge position to be thin and week without boosting the eq so I settled on a split P over-wound by 20% ( as in my pic ) to give a thick sound with a very high output. I use it with no eq on bass or amp to give MY fretless sound. Its about finding what works for you and going for it.

  13. My guitarist has just received a few days ago one of their small low powered valve guitar amps and it has gone bang with only 4 hours of play time on the clock. He has said it is poorly built but did sound wonderful for it very brief life ! Time to box it back up and return it to thommans.

I have for sale a Boss CE-3 Stereo Analog Chorus CE-3 Chorus The CE-2 doesn't have a stereo output so the CE-3 was made, perhaps more as a replacement for the CE-1. The CE-3 have adjustments for depth and rate, just like the CE-2, but supports in addition a stereo output. Having two outputs gives you the option of having a chorused signal from Output A and the direct signal at the same time from Output B. These can be panned left and right to simulate the sound of two guitars playing simultaneously. The placement of the 3 knobs are not typical. This is the only 3-knob pedal that has three knobs in a row. As this caused the LED to become hidden behind the middle knob, it was a design that was soon changed in favor of the V shaped 3 knob control layout. Version differences There are minor colour differences between versions of this pedal and from 1988 the CE-3 was shipped with white black knobs with white tops. The CE-3 was the first metallic coloured Boss compact pedal. The green label was introduced 1984 to indicate compliance with FCC rules and production moved to Taiwan, 1988. Specifications

Controls: Rate, Depth, 2-way Mode Switch
Connectors: Input, Output A, Output B, AC Adaptor
Current Draw: 13 mA (DC 9V)
Weight: 400g/0.88 lbs.
Input Impedance: 1Mohm
Residual Noise Level: -90 dBm (IHF-A)
Recommended Load Impedance: 10kOhm or greater
Recommended AC Adaptor: ACA Series
The CE-3 was sold from October 1982 to February 1992. It is in great condition with only a few scratches due to being 25 years old. £35 collected from Sandhurst or £40 posted with signed for insured service.
  20. I have for sale an EC Audio ( Tom Evans ) Pandora mains cleaner / filter. It's a black box that has an isolating transformer inside that filters the crap out of the mains to give your equipment a clean power supply. I have used it for my hifi to give a cleaner more detailed sound and found it worked great on my bass rig to. It really improved the sound and protected my bass amp from mains noise and spikes. It is a rare piece of kit that would of original cost £300 and it works great as a cleaner for hifi, studio or live use. Cost is £50 collected form Sandhurst or £55 posted due to heavy weight of the transformer.
