Little Bastard is a great amp but I went for 65amps Apollo as its 50watts are enough for both home rehearsal , studio recordings and the occasional small gig.

Can't do anything about the strings but you could get Jon or any other luthier to put frets on the neck.
If it does not sell this is what I will do, put frets on it and turn it into a six string P Bass monster.
The neck is very slim and easy to play. If you can handle a five string this bass would be a very easy transition to six strings.
