+1. In addition, the usual reason given for adding a fifteen is to get lower extension. The fact of the matter is that the average fifteen loaded cab goes no lower than the average ten loaded cab. As for output capability, the average 1x15 has less output capacity than the average 4x10. Advertisements mixing 1x15 and 4x10 are ubiquitous, as is the use of that by many endorsers. Why? Ads are intended to sell product, as is supplying endorsers with what the company wants to sell. As to what companies want to sell, that's highly driven by what you want to buy. If you think that 1x15/4x10 is a good combination no company is going to try to talk you out of it. They'll give you what you want and take your money, thank you. The more you know about how speakers work, the less likely you'll want to mix cabs. As for what endorsers use, don't assume that just because they're great players that they know any more about speakers than you do. Bottom line, they use what they're paid to use.
+1 I could not say it better myself.

See link to play the track. It shows how great the bass sounds. http://www.reverbnat...header_icon_nav The bass was made for me in 2011 and I had a 12 month wait for it to be built. It is in wonderful condition with NO dings, dents or marks. Comes with Shuker hard case. Can be viewed / played in Sandhurst and Weybridge. Sorry no trades, cash on collection.
How can it be when I own the finest Shuker ever?
No, you are mistaken sir. I have the best Shukers. I love the fat body and thin horns... If only I had some cash.
might be worth setting your strap length to the same height as when you're playing sitting down, (ie don't have the bass down by your knees!)
( see above ) The bass is the same height standing up as sitting down. Best of both worlds.

I've had great success using this ..... http://www.lean-business.co.uk/eshop/faitalpro-15pr400-8ohm-15-400watt-pa-speaker-p-1381.html?zenid=8d58378e41744e8c6095d2b421b8fd1b It replaced a celestion that sounded very wooly by comparison.

Molan, find music you Iove to play, it can seem like an age on stage playing material that does not interest you. Give them a shove and keep looking. Also, 25 songs seem a tad excessive. I have only ever had to learn a max of 6 for an audition.

Guys , I have been in the studio and recorded three songs with The Wrong'uns. I've been asked by a few BassChatters to post my recordings using the two Shukers. The recording chain was bass into a Origin Cali76 compressor, Avalon u5 di into the desk with another feed into the 65amps Apollo valve head and 1x15 cab mic'ed with my vintage Sennheiser 441. I set the amp to have a slight overdrive sound with the desk feed being totally clean. The two sounds were then mixed together at the mixing stage. EQ on the amp was flat with just a small mid scoop on the Avalon ( setting 4 ). http://www.reverbnation.com/wronguns The first track, Unfall for you was recorded with the Artist using the piezo pickup only with a large scoop in the mids around 800hz. This gave a very clear acoustic sound with great weight and punch. Twist the knife was also recorded with the Artist chambered body bass but using the magnetic Delano pickup only. This has a very Jazz bass sound, lots of punchy mids. I left the eq on the bass flat for this track. Last was Stories in stone were I wanted to have a strong P Bass sound so I used the fretless for this one. It has a very P Bass sound with lots of depth and growl, perfect for a more heavy sound. I used just a little upper mid boost to bring out the fretless and P Bass split pickup sound. Hope you enjoy these tracks as they give a very accurate sound of the Shuker basses. Let me know your thoughts regarding the sound and the music. Thanks.

I was so impressed with thIs bass I got Jon to build two custom basses for me. I would recommend anyone considering a custom build to give him a ring.

Can the ShuttleMax do a good Streamliner impression?
Personally, I think they are totally different! A much warmer, smoother sweeter pre vs a tighter, quicker brighter middier tone
Spot on. -
get it fully serviced and recapped and i'll bet it shuts up!
+1 Get it serviced is should not buzz.

I watched it a few nights ago while feeding the young Voxpop. Can't remember what it was called. Is it still on iPlayer ? It had some great Folk music on it from full groups to single song writer / singers.
