1.
that's a really good thing you're doing there, let's hope karma blesses you with another one of these in the not too distant future?! good luck selling it, one of the most beautiful rigs i've ever seen
Thanks guys for the kind comments.
 2.
Hope the sale goes well and you get a good deal out of it. I hope it goes for a lot more than what you've asked here for it. Good luck.
Unfortunately no one has any money.......its up for a quick sale if I can get it. This is the lowest I will take. Its a lot of money for someone to find.....but they will get the very best bass rig on this planet. IMHO. Marc
 3. "Don't do it!!! Sell your family if you need the money, but never a bass rig as good as that!" I wish I really didn't have to sell this wonderful rig. Its because of my family that I'm selling it. My sister is about to have her child taken away and I've stepped in and will take him sometime in the new year. Its a massive step for me and my wife as we don't have any kids and were trying for one of our own. I will need the cash to turn my 'music room' into a nursery for the little chap. I know that is a massive undertaking but I'm doing the right thing both for me and the innocent child. Sorry to burden you guys with the circumstances of this sale......its with a sad heart I let the rig go.

 6.
NO intention to challenge voxpop here, but as an example of just how subjective this all is, I followed up on earlier praise for the Demeter Compulator and tracked one down a couple of years ago. I spent over an hour in Chandlers Guitar Experience near Kingston, completely uninterrupted by the staff or other customers, playing a variery of basses through a Compulator and into a decent amp. Nothing. Nada. Not a sausage. Bugger all. The most expensive pedal ever to do virtually nothing. Now that clearly can't be true because so many others have used this pedal and loved it. My hearing, maybe? Or my perception? Or perhaps it sounds different in a band mix rather than solo noodling in a shop? Could be it was just a duff example? Who knows. TRY BEFORE YOU BUY!
Completely agree...................TRY BEFORE YOU BUY. Its all subjective at the end of the day. Whats right for me might be a complete waist of space for you.
 7. you'll be searching for the right compressor forever! After 2 years of buying nearly every compressor on the market, both rack and pedal, Ive come to the follow conclusions. For limiting use the Boss LM-3, its a great leveller that does not screw with the sound quality much. Its great if you want to slap hard or just gently limit the most loudest notes. Next compressors, this is were it gets expensive. Almost every compressor that I tried messed with the bottom end. The only two that I found that did not screw up the low notes are the Manatone JAC  and the Demeter Computator. Both these units are exceptional and worth every penny of your hard earned cash. A great compressor will inject punch and clarity to your sound while a limiter will only effect the loudest notes. All of the above is only my opinion and reflects my own subjective findings.
 8. Ive got a 2 month old Boss LM-3 Limiter that was used ONCE in a recording project. It is boxed with all the bits....cost £69.00 Will Trade for a quality PHASER or FLANGER or any interesting effect pedal. 9. Cool....................I want one.
 10. I really like my Fender USA jazz 5 neck profile and couldn't find a fretless that liked playing. So with fender not having a USA fretless 5 now or in the near future I came across a plan. First is to buy another USA Jazz 5 in black, change the pickups to Seymour Duncan SJ-5 single coils and put on a Black or Pearloid scratch plate. My change the electronics to an East or ACG. Next give the neck to The Gallery for them to put on an Ebony board with partial fret lines like the picture ( but only on the top half of the neck not the bottom ). String with TI flats and I will be in heaven. The neck is currently at the Gallery and will take another 4 weeks to complete.
 11.
I'll put this in the effects for sale forum - where you might get a few more readers..........
Thanks.
 12.
I have a Demeter Compulator which I've been thinking of letting go. I think I prefer my bass tone without any form of compression. Therefore, I probably don't need it just sitting around, and it'll help cover the cost of some pickups I've bought. It's in very good to mint condition, having had very light use. I still have the original box, also I think the instructions. I can't post any pictures at the moment, and won't be in a position to do so for a few weeks. In fact, I won't be able to sell/post it until early December. I'm going to ask for GBP 125 - and I'll cover paypal fees, and include insured postage within the UK. If you can collect (West London), I'll knock a tenner off and do it for GBP 115. The other thing I won't do, due to bad experiences here in the past, is to "hold" it (for free). So if you want it and are willing to back that up with cold cash, I'll be wanting a 50 quid deposit up front. And the balance once it's ready to post/or on collection. cheers! G
I need one before December.....good luck with the sale.
 13. I've put a set of Nordstand NJ5 FS split coil pickups into my USA Jazz 5 and they sound fantastic, no more buzz just a powerful detailed sound. Highly recommended. And to add a little more punch without messing with the Vol,vol, tone plate of the Jazz just add a REDEEMER from Mark at Bass Direct. This will finish of the sound and give you a modern twist from an old classic. http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp...s_Redeemer.html Hope this helps.
 14.
Ive been after a decent quality practice combo for a while, and now after selling off some gear had a bit of 'spare' cash in paypal, anyway, spotted one of these PJB's on ebay for £179 used! Anyway i ve took the plunge!! (worryingly a bit as he didnt put any pics up!) just wondered peoples views/reviews on these?? Its not going to be gigged, used purely as practoce around the house or for low level 'jams' at a mates house!
So you where the one that beat me to it.............you swine sir. For £179 its a bargain.
 15.
I think everyone must be broke like me
I think we are all pretty broke this time of year.........................Im looking for a 5 or 6 string fretless but only have an absolute max of £900 to spend. I know it does not help your sale much but have a bump from me for a fantastic bass. Someone buy this great bass.....please.
 16.
This pedal is sold.
Bugger missed one again.

 18.
Walk away Michael. Your frustration shows through really clearly, and it's hard to see how you're ever going to enjoy being in this band. Walk away, start your own band, poach anyone from the old one who you think is worth playing with, if necessary nick the songs!
+1 Walk away and start a new band.
mmm... haven't heard from voxpop so presume my offer was one that was rejected... this is exciting...
Sorry Largo, I was away from my computer for the last few hours. I had 3 buyers with various offers on the table and I let it go to the first who would arrange a firm date for the exchange of CASH. If for some reason the sale fails on Saturday I will let the other 2 people know. Thanks guys.

 23.
I like this one. It will tune 2 octaves below a low B and has a built in mic so the horn section can use it too. Peterson StroboFlip VS-F Virtual Strobe Tuner
+1 for Peterson. I have the older VS-1 and its the most accurate and stable tuner on the market. They are expensive but worth every penny.
That looks very nice, with my P I'm probably biased. Shame you're not interested in IV's
I've had many wonderful offers on 4's but I'm now strictly a 5 man. Would really like to have a straight trade on a 5 string fretless with narrow string spacing ( 17mm-18mm ) Anyone out there..................
