4.
Personally I've never found a compressor pedal that really did the job right. Since they all have less than all the controls required to properly tweak the device to you, your bass the way you play - its always a compromise. Not until I got the focusrite compounder rack jobbie. Obviously that means going rack, and they may well not be for you, but it can be so transparent, or crush the knackers out of it depending on what I need. Not saying dont try comp pedals, just that you can expect to go through a fair few trying to get exactly what you want, only to discover that no one pedal can do everything you might need off a compressor.
+1 on the rack idea. I couldnt find a pedal that gave me the transparency and control that is required so I also went the rack way. I find BSS Audio compressors to be the very best.

Hi , If you sell the bass and want to buy a Fender American P5 in white, I MIGHT sell mine to fund some more GAS. Its 3 months old and strung with TI flats. Let me know.
  6. Ive got a very good Hartke Hydrive 115 combo for sale. Its 250 watts of power with a great compressor and value simulation settings that add extra harmonics to the sound. It is load enough for pug gigs and rehearsals. Prices on the net go from £600 to £500. Im asking £300 and its almost new with no marks, dents or wear.
  7. Got one of these in trade and never used it so its up for sale at a great price. It is in as new condition and sounds very powerful with a strong bass sound. Will take £275 collected or meet half way OR £300 posted. http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/75528
  8. Im open for trades....................do you have anything??
  9. Hi fellow Bass lovers.......... I have for sale a BSS Audio DPR 944 Stereo COMPRESSOR AND GATE. http://www.bssaudio.com/discont_productpg.php?product_id=9 It is in great condition with only VERY light rack use. The reason I bought this fantastic British compressor is the XLR inputs and outs are totally independent of each other. This gives great flexibility allowing you to configure any combination of Compressor and Gate. For example i went into one of the gates and then into both compressors, allowing me to switch between a light general compression and a peak limiter setting on the second one. All connections are balanced XLR. Its is great for both studio and live use. This unit cost £850 only a few years ago..... I will except £199 plus £15 postage. Also comes with this........... http://www.thomann.de/gb/thon_rack_2he_eco_ii_compact.htm Worth £50.00

  18.
Yeah me too...Was it FREE or was there a charge in Bristol?
It was free. Only cost was my petrol and a 90 min. drive from Reading. They were giving away a Hartke combo in a little competition at the end.............I didn't win. Good luck for tonight........the answer is very simple.....250 watts.
