I agree....dont like the wood scratchplate and the position and surround of the input jack. Also, what is the string spacing. Apart form the above its fantastic. Price ?
 2.
Ah I was a bit surprised to hear that WHS were stocking it
Me too.
 3. Good news .........I've received an email, another (third copy) is on its way from the USA.
 4.
Do you know who manufactures these drivers? Got a model number so I can investigate some technical info? I’m specifically interested in the frequency response (especially the low end response) and sensitivity.
They are made by Kef, a UK loudspeaker company. The drivers are from their 200 watt sub woofers. Someone ( sorry cant remember there name ) traded 4 with me sometime ago and made a 4x10 cab. Think he was happy with the result.
 5.
No - the issue is in WHSmith. It's the first copy I've flicked through and decided just not to bother with.
Bloody typical ......... Paid them £30 and got just one edition. They're not having another penny from me. Glad to here it was crap. Rant over with............now I can get on with my Bank holiday.
 6. Has anyone else had problems getting their copy of Bass Gear Mag posted to them. I had the first edition in September last year and subscribed by Paypal. I noticed a few months back that the second edition was now out. I emailed them and got a nice reply saying leave it a few more weeks and we will post out another copy.......nothing arrived so I email them twice with NO REPLY. Have they gone the way of the credit crunch and disappeared into the darkness ??

 8.
Howdy lads and ladies! I recently made a bit of an impulse purchase of a Sandberg Basic 4, thinking it would compliment my fender nicely and be great for my band...but it seems my fender is simply the best bass for me, and have now suddenly realised i can't afford it at all...you know what they say about hindsight! The bass itself is in great condition...as new as it is only a few weeks old and it hasn't yet been gigged. It sounds amazing, single musicman style humbucker in the mid position, active with 1 volume, 1 mid, 1 bass and 1 treble control (3 band eq?). The bass is translucent blue with a white pickguard. it comes with sandberg stainless strings .40 guage. Its very nice to play, very similar to a ray I tried not so long ago. it is still able to have a free setup courtesy of guitarworks in reading, I am not sure if this is open to second time buyers I will go in and ask them. I paid £800 for it brand new so would like as close to this as physically possible, make me near offers guys, as i need to pay off the credit card I'm not open to trades im afraid. I will post pics up as soon as I can, hopefully later today. people are more than welcome to come and see and try the bass out, i live in windsor. I wouldnt like to post it as it only comes with a gigbag but we can arrange delivery for petrol money or something along those lines, collection is obviously welcome too! Thanks for taking the time to read this and sorry my spelling and general english is awful in places, please let me know if i have failed to mention anything that needs to be or on any improvements that are required! Will
I live near Reading and have played this Bass....its a winner. Have a bump on me.
 9.
Yep, I'm up for that too. Let me know how you want paid? Thanks Hugh, sure we'll both be happy with our halves.
Largo you have a PM
 10.
Anyone interested in going 50/50 on this and getting a 1m speakon cable? Albeit with one speakon only. I only need a 1m cable to link my head to single cab.
I can cut it in half............................yours for £20.
 11.
How easy would this be too half ? i.e. buy another couple of ends and have 2 x 1m speakon cables ?
Its very easy, just cut and strip the ends to make two 1m cables.
 12.
Hi voxpop I have the same problem, where I prefer a narrower string spacing on my 5's to the almost standard 19mm on most Jazz style. The Warwick Stage II is 16.5mm. Sadowsky are 19mm but apparently can do 18mm from the NYC factory but same neck dimensions ! I think your best option is the new Fender Jazz US 2008/09 models which have narrow spacing on the 5's. Haven't tried one but think they are 17.5 mm from memory. I've been looking at getting either a Jazz 5 or Precision 5. They are passive remember! Other options are Musicman at 17.5mm (this is all best guesses) Zon, althought not really a Jazz bass or a custom build. I ended up getting 2 custom made Jazz basses. My Sei & Shuker Jazz 5's are both 17.5 mm spacing. Hope that helps S
Thanks......thats the info I need. Passive is good. Will look at the NEW Fender Jazz and precision 5's.

 14.
A 90s Status/Trace Elliot T-bass? If u can find one or possibly a Lodestone BB
Thanks BB. I've emailed Lodestone.
 15. For the last 6 months I've gone almost exclusively for 5 string Spector basses. I love the feel of the 35" neck and Narrow string spacing. I traded my Sandberg thinline custom for a very nice Windmill Jay Tee Jazz and while I love the sound I just cant get on with the 4 strings and 'standard' string spacing. Can anyone recommend a 5 string JAZZ that has NARROW string spacing that would replace the Windmill. If I cant find a Jazz I might have to sell the Windmill and get another Spector. Any ideas ???? Thanks

 20.
that's not bad at all, is that the pre and power together?
Just the mono 250 watt power amp.

 22.
Crikey, congratulations on the purchase! I'm sure you've made 99.9% of bassists very jealous I'm sure that's on most peoples "When I've paid off the mortgage/won the lottery I'm going to buy..." lists.
I thought..... 'if I dont do it now I'll never will'...............I scraped every penny of spare cash, sold a few basses, used a little credit to get my dream rig......and god its worth the hard work.
