I have for sale a boxed and as new Sennheiser professional wireless system for sale. It contains a battery powered pocket sized transmitter and receiver. I will also include a Sennheiser cable that has a dummy 9volt battery on one end and a plug to use with a pedal board power supply. This is the only system that I have tried that DOES NOT reduce the bass tone or dynamics. I bought it about 18 months ago for a short tour costing me over £500 with the adaptor cable. Will sell for £160 with free postage or trade for any bass bits........................what have you got. ???????????????? PM or ring 07870 608914 in evenings. Many thanks.

sorry dont have a sound sample......it has a sound very much like a chorus and flanger combined but without the "out of tune" effect that you get from all other chorus types. if you listen to Mark king on Level 42's first album his bass was recorded with the studio version of this pedal, it sounds very '80s. hope this helps.

I have for sale my Professional Sennheiser wireless system. This is not the cheaper semi pro system. It is boxed with all cables and instruction book. It is run from a 9 volt battery and gives around 10 hours of use from a fresh set. I have gigged with it on a very large out door stage with no drop outs. It gives a very full range sound and unlike the cheaper semi pro systems does not reduce the bass output in any way. Even though it is about 2 years old I have only used it around 15 times. It cost me over £500.00 The picture is of the actual receiver unit on my pedal board and the pocket size transmitter with cable. Ive got a very rare and unusual chorus for sale, its the Roland Dimension c. http://www.bossarea.com/loadpage.asp?file=boxes/dc2.xml It has 4 presets that give a unique chorus effect that does not contain the " out of tune " effect that most chorus have. It is a very very rare pedal now. If you listen to the track "43" on Level 42's first album, it was recorded with a Dimension D rack version of this pedal. I will let it go for £120... includes postage in the UK.

This is my 6 month old Ted Fletcher TFPro P38 Stereo studio / live compressor limiter. Cost me £1200.00 only a few months I have used it between a pre and power amp in a bass guitar rig, can also be used in the studio or on a PA for live use. Has spent all its life in the rack case. It is less than 6 months old. The new P38 is built to last; from its heavy gauge front panel to the steel chassis; the construction is 'substantial'. Terminations are via both XLR connectors and conventional 1/4 inch jack sockets, and the power supply is built in. As with all top-end TFPRO equipment, the inputs are transformer coupled using double wound audio current transformers giving transparent performance, total isolation and freedom from hum and buzz. The stereo input gain control is a feedback type with extremely low self noise, and incorporates a '+14dB' switch to allow for lower level inputs. To maintain perfection in stereo imaging, the stereo signal is processed into 'sum and difference' signals and these signals are compressed separately. Immediately before the output, the sum and difference are reprocessed into left and right signals. The compressor retains the optical concept that gives such an amazing sound, but Ted has incorporated novel and original design features giving extreme control of compression, with selectable ratios from 1.2:1 up to 100:1, so that the P38 is like having all the historic compressors at once! To achieve these different 'flavours' there is a 'model' switch to select four distinct compression types (detailed in the handbook). Some of the model types incorporate an element of automatic release so that programme material influences compression; this facility is modified by the TR REL button (Transient Release). Immediately following the compressor there is another innovation; this is the 'soft clip' option where transient overloads can be 'clipped' without audible distortion. An LED indicator shows when these transients are being affected. METERING Unlike Ted's earlier compressors, the P38 has a pair of meters that read final output level. A meter change-over switch alters the status so that the left meter reads 'mono input' while the right meter reads 'CR' (gain reduction). PERFORMANCE The P38 follows current TFPRO thinking and has a much extended frequency range. The Low frequencies remain flat down to 8Hz, while the HF end extends beyond 4OKHz without filtering so that there is substantial response up to 75KHz and beyond. Noise and distortion performance are to professional standards with impulsive distortion minimised by the use of integrated class A amplifiers. IMAGING AND BALANCE While the M/S matrix system takes care of the stability of the stereo imagef and provides the ability to go from mono, right through to full stereo and beyond to an enhanced stereo (15O% stereo), there are often times when there are slight gain differences and imbalances between left and right. Payment by cleared cheque, cash on collection or bank transfer.

Im in the hi-fi industry and these guys build fantastic high end speakers in carbon fibre starting at over £2k, check them out at............ http://www.wilson-benesch.com/ The sound of carbon is very unique, its gives a sound free of the woody, box colouration that MOST speakers have. Should sound great as a bass cab. Don't know how easy it would be to build / mould the carbon fibre. Hope this helps. Marc

Sandberg Custom 4 Thinline fretless..................
voxpop replied to voxpop's topic in Basses For Sale
I cant believe the lack of interest in this bass, it seems everyone wants a fender P or J. If I don't get any response i'm going to fret it. It has very little weight because of the hollow body and has a wonderful neck. I have the "standard" custom which has a very heavy bass sound with a hi-fi quality to it. The Thinline has a fantastic mid sound, very punchy and sweet. Only wish I had frets on it as Im not a great fretless player. One last go or its having frets put on. -
AFAIK, the switch changes the impedance that the picks see. I tried to design a circuit that does the same thing using an inductance and a resistor to simulate the pickup. It just a quick draft but I run it through a software simulator and it works. I hope you will find it usefull.
Many thanks Silent Fly, I might give it a go, or mount an Audere in a box. Thanks guys.

I use cables from the Chord Company called 'Cream' and yes they make a difference compared to many brands I have tried. Nigel at Chord is bass player and would not of released this cable unless it made a big improvement over cheap cables. I would recommend all basschat members try these cables, they will not make you play better but you will hear the quality of your bass and equipment. 6m cables is about £50 and is worth every penny.

I like the idea of the Audere preamps that shape the tone when using the three position switch in passive mode. Does anyone know if you can get the same effect ( impedance switch ) from an out board effect unit. I do not want the standard bass, mid, treble type EQ, Just a way to change the impedence to produce the same effect as the Audere Any ideas guys ? Thanks.
