2. I think its gonna have to be a black scratchplate. something plain not to distract attention to the mable purple effect, prob just Pure black.
3. took 2 more pics and tried to cover the flash, you can see the true colour now but the pic is crappy lol.
4. Just found a mem card slot on my laptop for photos, very handy! ive tried to take good pics but im not very arty, shame you cant see the metalic sparkle in the paint really. Just gotta get some pots, scratch plate, wait for my knobs and neck plate to turn up, paintwork needs polishing more, got a few imperfections I need to iron out, and then re-stringed. Woop
5. ive took some amazing pics, but I cant find the damn cable to upload them. AUGHHH. ill try figure something out.

7.
lol... aspects of both that I like and dislike. J neck and body with P pups would suit me nicely.
Complete opersite for me.

11.
Maybe a good idea would be if someone puts up a few sound clips of basses of different quality, see if every body spots the cheap one
here you go. EBMM 'Ray a awesome bass played badly by a drunk me. feel free to leave comments
12. sound guy, very helpful, bought his ahsdown cab. Spot on guy, even got the pleasure of a cup of tea and to play on his bass's. Cheers Simon!
13.
yeah i agree with that!! he bought my stingray! traveled like forever to pick it up too! great to deal with
set off at 2pm, arrived at 7:45? not bad for a 2hour drive!!! lol. Well worth it though, you were right about that ray, its unbelieveably light and plays amazing, played a few other 'rays since and just didnt get on with them as well as yours. thanks for the nice words guys.
14.
There is a lot of snobbery amongst the kids, the worst offenders for gear snobbery are the ones that know and have done the least.
I know what you mean, I fit that catogory, I wouldnt say I was a snob but I dont like sub standard stuff even though I have very little bass knowledge. I did snub the MM Sub i played and I bought a 'ray just because people said they were good, hadnt actually played on before I picked it up. But I was on a winner with it cause I didnt realise how bad my Jazz sucked till I got that and plus it was an AMAZING example of a 'ray, played 2-3 rays since and they weighed a ton and I still prefer my own. On a truthful note.. I guess I just have more money then sence and dont like buying sub standard kit cause in the back of my mind ill always know I could have got better. But TBH, I think ive got it in my head at the moment that if I buy better kit ill be a better bass player, which we all know is a load of bull. Makes me smile though although im crying out to find a tutour.
15. lol @ Mrs T, Spot on mate, pleasure to deal with, informative, kept in touch, spot on!
16. Bought your 'ray, Absolutely spot on guy. Spot on bass. Was a pleasure (apart from being stuck in trafic on a friday night for 6 hours while VERY hung over lol) Definatly do deal with Chris again
17. welcome fellow skateboarding bass player!
18. No Waiiiii Dude, please decide your not selling it, I just got paid today and ive wanted one of these since I saw the 2007 version on evilbay for £800. *puts bank card away, runs off before he does something stupid* lol, awesome bass dude. good luck with the sale
19. Ive been informed its now pollished and ready to put the neck on and build up. Should have most of the parts I need by the weekend to at least make it look bass like. Ill get some decent pics although I took some on my phone of the neck spray job and it doesnt show how nice it is from the pics. the paintwork is awesome.
20. what they said... Personally I dont like rosewood boards, prefer maple, but thats personal pref. I went from a tiny Jazz neck to the large 'ray neck and I found I prefer it being larger. You cant go wrong with whatever you buy, its what suits you best and what sound you want from it.
21.
Comparing yourself with others is the only thing that is holding you back.
True, very true!
22. quite annoying, im 24 now, only been playing just over 2 years and there are 16 year olds with better knowledge and a HELL of a lot better then me. :'( Im happy with my gear for now for a noob, see my sig for my stuff. suppose I should start looking for a band, but my friends are either stupidly amazing and im nowhere neer thier level cause they have been giging for 10+ years, or my other mates "play guitar" and I ask them to play a D and they play an F# or something. Mehh, ill stick to being a bedroom bassist
23. aeroplane RHCP, although ive definatly not mastered it. last song I learnt well was Soul to squeeze.
24.
lol! don't let her hear that
Id quite happyly swap you, Dated 1989, slim like a jazz but got the curves too, maple coloured head but none matching colour and body, very tidy underneath the the paintwork, puts out well although a little destortion depending on which jack you plug it into.
25. Have you got back from Norway yet??
